Al-Qaeda, Our Allies

It's gonna be entertaining when Obama changes his story watching Buck change his too.
it's already starting...

White House National Security Council spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden had this to say;

We have seen the result of the Parliament vote in the UK tonight. The U.S. will continue to consult with the UK Government – one of our closest Allies and friends. As we’ve said, President Obama’s decision-making will be guided by what is in the best interests of the United States. He believes that there are core interests at stake for the United States and that countries who violate international norms regarding chemical weapons need to be held accountable.
Hopefully congress will vote the way the Brits did...

General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff and former top army officer, has highlighted the risks of US involvement in Syria's bloody civil war for over two years.

Dempsey, a multi-tour command veteran of the Iraq war, has never openly opposed a strike on Syria, something that would risk undermining civilian control of the military. But when asked for his views, in press conferences and testimony, Dempsey has tended to focus on the risks and costs of intervention.

In April, Dempsey said that the US military could force down Syria's warplanes and disrupt its air defenses, but not without significant peril to US pilots, all for a negligible impact on dictator Bashar al-Assad.
And as usual Rumsfeld can't help but take a swipe at Iran, who are the country the US and her gulf allies would most like to topple...

There really hasn’t been any indication from the administration as to what our national interest is with respect to this particular situation. If you think of what’s really important in that region, it’s two things. It’s Iran’s nuclear program and the relationship between Iran and Syria, the Assad regime, with respect to funding terrorists that go around killing innocent men, women and children including Americans.

Nothing is happening. The USA is doing nothing. Obama is heading to Russia, next week.

So, whatever you do, continue to panic and run around in circles. :) Oh, yes..pretend to know while you parrot your press outlet.

Let me ask E. What will happen when some open fishing boat shoots down, with one of those Strela 2, an Allied War Planes conducting Stand Off Operations?

No good, bad or even ugly options. Horrible only.

Nice time machine.

Can you get me tomorrow's lottery numbers?

No? Because you're full of shit?

Oh, okay.
In and out Just Like Libya.
There are boots on the ground already. SpecOps are for sure there. Unless they fuck up somewhere
You will never hear about it

And if this does go down

The truth about Benghazi will come out

Seriously?

Just evacuate them?

Let the rebels We've funded to just keep fighting against the baathist? Then what? Permanent refugee camps?

Bashar Al Assad is fighting against Al Qaeda and winning. There is a Syrian diplomat going around Europe insisting he has evidence that the Western backed Al Qaeda rebels were the ones who used chem weapons.

Why would Assad invite Western response by using chem weapons in a war he was already winning?
He's made some advances, but he's by no means "winning". Up until recently it looked like the rebels were going to smash his balls with a hammer. In regards to letting them kill each other, uh yeah, that's exactly what I'm proposing. There is no good side in this. The jihadis are animals, and Assad isn't far behind. I'm not suggesting refugee camps for the Syrians, I'm suggesting permanent resettlement, which is something that the U.N. is not only terrible at, but it doesn't seem to even cross their minds. There is no good solution to this conflict, and invasion I think for most reasonable people is off the table. This should've been quietly taken care of years ago, before the jihadis all got a hard on for the opportunity for another holy war in Syria.

because you guys have such a long and storied track record of being right.

see president romney.
I called the election for Obama even though i preferred my toaster oven. My track record isn't bad.

The only thing you may have seen me say positive about Romney had a first name of George. I surely never claimed the stimulus was Bush's, that was your idiocy.

so britain just voted against action in syria.

the plot thickens.
It's probably because that little piece of paper Cameron was wielding as PROOF of Asshat's use of chemical weapons was weak (what was the source, again?).
And the Parliament doesn't have the same hard-on for blood-letting the way America's Death Cult reps (like John McCain) do.

In all seriousness, Buck, do you not perceive even the slightest hint of ulterior motives in this whole debacle re: America's Entrance? I can understand your sincere desire to see this merely be a case of "Asshat used CWs on his people", because the response would be just.
But in light of everything that has been discussed on these threads, do you not have an inkling of doubt?

That aside, I am interested to see what declassified information comes out this weekend from the CIA or whoever has this "evidence" (assuming they follow through with the reports I heard this morning).
If it's anything like the detailed analyses of IRAQ's chemical program in the 80s, it should be enlightening (while causing further questions for other reasons).
I expect to see Saudi Arabia discussed a great deal, as well...
But if it's like this dribble from the JIC, then something else is going on.

I'm not one for tin-foil vestments, but that whole "7 countries in 5 years" plan still seems to be in effect; the timeline was just extended.

Meanwhile, I just stumbled onto a report stating Asshat has lost control of Syria, and IRAN now controls 50% of it... according to Syrian Opposition
Now the BS is really starting to chug out of that region!
And English-style Thick-cut Potato Chips, will now be referred to as Liberation Wedges,
and English Muffins are now called Freedom Muffins.

i never claimed that either.

everyone else does, however. it is widely help knowledge that obama inherited a $1.5 trillion annual deficit, whether that makes your pussy ache or not.

What do you think of these supposed threats from Russia to attack Qatar and Saudi Arabia?

I have not heard that, but it wouldn't surprise me. This is part of the risk of America doing operations using "slam dunk" evidence. The probabilities of escalation increase.

http://www.eutimes.net/2013/08/putin-orders-massive-strike-against-saudi-arabia-if-west-attacks-syria/

According to Kremlin sources familiar with this extraordinary “war order,” Putin became “enraged” after his early August meeting with Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan who warned that if Russia did not accept the defeat of Syria, Saudi Arabia would unleash Chechen terrorists under their control to cause mass death and chaos during the Winter Olympics scheduled to be held 7-23 February 2014 in Sochi, Russia.
I'm going to take that with a grain of salt, for now...

The "right enemy" would include the Syrian "rebels"...

100K dead from chemical agents? I don't think so that's a whole barrel of wrong...

You do have to ask yourself why now? there's enough info in this thread to connect the dots...

obama is a thinker..shoots hoop and smokes weed..my money is still on the president, he knows what he's doing..imo
Shooting hoops and smoking weed is all he seems to do, if that... He's only as good as his last decision and when you don't attend your national security briefings and support terrorist groups there is something seriously wrong... open your eyes woman...

Russia (Which recently passed a law banning "gay propaganda.) and China (Which has a history lately of not giving a shit about the welfare of it's citizens.): Both known for their respect of civil rights... You got any countries that do give a fuck about the welfare of their citizens that object?
UK wont be overtly supporting this quagmire...
