On the subject of BIG business running the show, I seem to recall that the day they announced prohibition had ended, the Budweiser Clydesdales trotted up to the White House with a wagon full of beer. If it really WAS prohibition, how did they make beer that quickly? Same deal here, once the big business, hence BIG money, has properly positioned themselves, not only in the market but in politicians back pockets, this thing will explode like Mount St. Helens. Prohibition merely killed off the "true brewers" business, which left the market wide open for the BIG businesses.
The key here is that BIG business will never, ever stop the "true grower" from enjoying his little garden at home. Will BIG business capture the market and make zillions? Sure. But their clientele will be people who have no time/desire/knowledge to grow their own.
It's a simple thing to run down to the store and grab a 12 pack of imported beer, but the happiest beer drinkers are those homebrewers who want to consume their own creations. The same will hold true for cannabis in the future.

I know we all want that magic wand to be waived but I think this is progress. Like someone else stated there are some smart, hardworking people making this push. I hope one day we can look at this as a positive occurance. Remember change is always occuring, moment to moment. An old head I know is wary and pleased all at once. He said he wouldn't have imagined it happening in 1975. I hope the community can continue to push forward. It doesn't change my current perspective immediatly so I have to watch from afar and hope for the best.
