I am using gravity, bushmaster, cha-ching, snow storm ultra, crystal burst.

All of them say use up till harvest. However, i know there is mixed feedback on doing a 10 day or more flush.

If i don't flush, will i be alright?

If i do a 3 day flush, Will it make a difference?

bushmaster is a growth retardant, and from what I gather, not something you want to smoke. apparently it leaves a carcinogenic residue called placobutrazole that won't flush out. bushmaster is no longer available in Cali... I would hate to hear it if I were you, but that stuff is bad shit, please don't use it! for what it's worth, when I lived in cali and it was available and I didn't know better, I used it on my indoor sour d - I smoked it and I'm still here but I do feel a bit icky about it now... oh well no use worrying about it now but seriously man, there are other ways to deal with stretchy plants inside that don't involve toxic chemicals. I'm pretty sure if weed was legal across the board, a lot of products currently on the market would no longer be used, just my theory

You Just use the "Bush Master" like once or twice when you put your plant in Flower at 5ml per 1-gallon that will slow your elongation way down.
when your in veg follow the directions 5ml per 5-gallons to stop plants from getting out of control.
5ml per 1-gallon will stop a veg plant for about 3-4 weeks.

it was applied only twice, and the amount that is needed to get the desired affect is trivial in my opinion.

It was like a teaspoon for 5 gallons? Anyways, i know that bushmaster and gravity both have a carcinogen in them, according to california, which is why they no longer sell it. But i still have it, and the out come of using it is great. I've smoked plenty of stuff that was grown with it, and i have never noticed anything bad about it. There's not really an "after taste"

Plus, its used right as flowers are barely starting. So even if some of it is lingering around, it really can't be that much.

Thank you for the information, and as always it is appreciated. :bigjoint:

only used bush twice at start of flowering. the rest has been used as it says to do on the bottles.

Will the outcome be undesired if i do not flush, and just harvest?

I live in colorado, and its getting really really windy and cold. I don't want to lose them to the frost or wind. Im at a HIGH elevation as well.

i want them chopped now. i just don't want to be stuck with harsh smoking bud that no one wants any part of :D

im going to take one of them down tonight, and have it dry to see how it smokes. I'll post with results when the time comes.

However, if anyone has anything to add, please do. I like discussing marijuana, especially my own grow :). I'll post some pictures when i can as well so everyone can see whats going on. I know that everyone likes pictures :D

are they in the ground or in pots? If you have trees you can cut down or put your plant around them. that will help with the coming frost. or cover them.
IMO- I don't flush. I just cut way back on the nutrients the last week or two. Most of the time just plain water. before harvest I water.

Good Luck with your Grow.

Thank you, and no i don't have any trees like you say. But i did close them off with plastic, and i cover the top at night.

Edit: they are in 5 gallons, and 1 or 2 in 4 gallons

Hello,
I am new to this forum but have been growing for 5 years now, and i also use bushmaster and gravity and i would definetly give them a minimum 7 day flush with this product or you will indeed experience some very harsh smoke. I flush under any circumstance no matter what , I use final phase by advanced nutrients, and alot of water to get my babies tasting as clean as possible. As far as quality goes, you dont want to spend all that time getting your girls tuned in and waste it because you didnt flush the last week ESPECIALLY with bushmaster or gravity. Yes bushmaster and gravity have pgr's in them, but its not truly going to be harmful to you unless you dont flush it out 100%. For those of you that dont Feel comfortable with gravity i would recommend a product call rock resignator which will take place of all of your flowering nutrients only and will give you the density and the bursting tricomes you are looking for. I use them together but with the gravity they get 1ml per gallon once a week , in the last 4 weeks before flushing. Hopefully this helps...

Flushing does not improve taste or smell, it just robs the plant of nutrients and beneficial microbes.

Dammit, now i am torn. Why do i gotta like rock hard buds?

I'm going to harvest one of the branches off of one, and dry it out while the others do a mini flush of 4 days or so. (if weather permits it) To test it.

Flushing removes the stuff that is good for the plant.

Flushing removes the bad stuff from the plant so you don't ingest it.

Flushing Absolutely 100% does improve taste Im not one to smoke my nutes especially gravity or bushmaster. do a side by side cut half your plants down and flush the other half . I guarantee the ones you flushed will smoke great and the ash will be clean grey , and the ones you don't flush will taste like shit and burn black ash I mean this is beginners common sense. Unless you are growing 100% truly organic then yes you need to flush no question

I use the same nutes you mentioned plus I use FF beasty bloom 0-50-30 I alternate from that and Humbolts crystal burst 0-15-15.. I always flush 10 daZe but I alternate using humbolts Killer Tea and FF Big Bloom with my water at medium levels..maybe that's not considered a true flush..but there you go..I have great results and..praise...which says it all for me
