I keep my humidor as close to 65%, just because of my geographical location and normal O.A. humidity. I keep it like Indoor Sun King said, in and around 60 for the MJ storage.

agree, those living in Arizona are more likely to keep their humidors at a higher RH than those living in Florida...location does make a huge difference,

Nice Job Watt, So whats the next grow?
I'm growing out clones of the Bay 11 (3) plus an 18th generation clone of the Maui Wowie I love so much. I'm also growin' out 5 more seeds of the Bay 11 to try and get a male, but they are really hating going into 11/13 lighting and have just stopped growing.

Yeah Watt's, did you get any seeds yet from the PE and Hawaiian "90 day wonder" ?
YES!!!! There are pods on all 4 of the little heads I pollinated. I doubt there will be more than a couple dozen seeds, but it will be fun to grow them out next summer.

hey Watts...long term or short term storage of fine or cheap cigars would be considered as 70-72% RH but most prefer somewhere between 62 - 68% RH (personal preference)

http://humidorsforless.ca/faq.htm a cigar website talking about humidors

I have heard of a few that store at 60% but anything lower would be non-conventional. Temp is critical because of tobacco beetles which can hatch at about 70F.....this is not a concern for MJ.

I store my cigars at 65% and my mason jars at 62% but this is more or less as it's not easy to maintain an exact RH and/or temp
I have to admit to a stoned typo in the post, 55 to 58% was supposed to be 65 to 68%. I've got everything jarred and setting at 62 tp 63% right now. Just going to keep it there. It's a shame I have run out of stash, and have to dip into the new. With it being young I have to pull out a bud and let it air a bit to get it to burn smooth and even.

Thanks all for not letting my gaff go unattested :eyesmoke:

Let's call this an update. Only thing left in this summer grow is the autos outside. Photos are Day 53 to 55 at least 3wks to go. They've had their Cha-Ching boost for the last 2 feedings. The cup is daily the 2gal's are 3 to 4 days depending upon the weather.
You can see the seed pods in the last photo

The cup just doesn't have the mass to handle these rocky mountain nights, so I got some Great Stuff spray foam and made a blanket. Straw was to keep the hempy hole open. I pulled it after it expanded and dried.

great improvisation on the cup....that ought to boast the R factor and keep her warm

BTW...did the other two gal get pregnant, or just the targeted gal?

It doesn't look like I pollinated past the targeted buds, but I've thought that before. Just won't really know until I break up a bud to roll a J in a couple of months. Seeds have a way of hiding in the middle like a tootise pop

This may be a little early,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :eyesmoke: yea it is. This thread will be open until I finish the PE's. By then I'll have some cure time. Preliminary is really good.
Gonna cook some burgers, and smoke a little more oil, then find a Friday the 13th movie special to watch.

Thanks, WC.

We've been having rain everyday for wks it seems like now. I'm lucky to be in an area that hasn't seen any 6" of rain in couple of hrs. Saturday it started before 7 and just kept coming but the humidity was 62% in the room so I pulled all the Bay 11 out of the jars for a couple of hrs to air em' out.

The photo shows 4 of the 5 plants. One is already gone well almost. You just can't convince some people to wait for a little curing. There's a 1/2lb there, so the Bay 11 isn't a heavy yielder @ just over 2oz each. But thats not that bad for a sativa and bud are bigger and denser than most sativa's. It was the easiest plant to trim that I've ever done. The scent and taste are the same, with a fruity overtone and a mild skunk undertone. The buzz is very heady, not sponge bob & drool material.

Here's a peek at the new grow at 2 wks. 3 Bay 11 in the back row, Maui Wowie front left. The shelf has the 5 B 11 seedlings that I was hoping to get a male out of. But they have just stopped, I think it's the FFoF soil, the last few bags I've gotten seem to be denser than yrs before, and I was lazy during the transplant and didn't cut the soil with some more perlite. So it's my own fault. A couple have shown sex and one is a boy but I don't think I can get pollen in time. They may be gone real soon.

I have nothing in the veg box at this time. The wife and I have a Hawaiian vacation planned in Dec. These girls will be done 3wks before departure. So I'll be shut down for 5 to 6wks.

Getting close to the end for the outdoor PE autos photos are day 67, the trichs are about 50/50 clear cloudy. They will need at least a wk most likely closer to 2. Temps are dropping, the overnight lows have been in the upper 30's 3 out of the last 4 nights and they are showing signs of autumn. The cup is taking it harder. Started raining hard again today, bad news is that these cells are heading to the front range tonight where they don't need it.

Looking Good M8.

Many thanx for the update.

I took a couple of Cotton Candy clones and vegged them for a couple of weeks and slammed em into 4 gallon pots, stuck them out in the back yard and wished them luck..lol

Autos are at day 74 been checking the trich's they are 80-90% cloudy. I've started to flush them today. They should be ready next weekend. I've had to bring them indoors that last couple of nights, we've had hard frosts.

(Won't let me upload photos..... I'll try later)
Edit: Add to upload via url

Here's the bench Sat morning where they normally rest overnight
