whats wrong with the young turks? i use them as my news. They tell the facts first based on research theyve done and then weigh in on what they think about it. They encourage you to challenge your govt and stand up for whats right. Whats wrong with that? Better than listening to FOX making up reasons for everything going on in the world, blaming it on race or religion or other dumb ignorant reasons.

Im pro choice, pro gun (love my ar), pro-gay rights, anti corporation and anyone who supports tax cuts for them, against the NSAs invasive spying, opposed to war without reason or war for financial gain, and against any and all politicians. I havent seen one besides Ron Paul who wants to do what is actually right for us.

That being said, Cenk has a loud and obnoxious voice that can get annoying very quickly hahaha cant win em all.

Me, "Yeah, I have one of my own, but I left it at home. Now I regret it. I've never seen a mirror lens before."

Then I get blind sided with some do gooder called the cops on me. What am I supposed to do? My son has autism, should I just leave him home? Kids with that disorder won't always act calm, and at times act like the world is coming to an end. It probably didn't help he was calling out mama either.

All I got from the cop was how my son had no shirt and looked cold. But, even if he was in winter clothes, he still acts that way. Also, there were tons of other kids the same age, height, weight, who were shirtless and crying on the beach for mama too! Which I even pointed out to the cop later on, but their response was, "well, those people didn't have the cops called on them, now did they?" Yeah, fuck you asshole pig! :finger:

I only give my name, and cop goes on this tirade. To which my response is, "uh huh," works for Obama right? Doesn't work too well if you're an Aspie.

Finally I'm getting tired of this shit and say am I free to go. At this point the cop asks for an ID. I tell the cop,no and if I'm free to go, again, or am I under arrest. This is one stubborn cop and tells me, "I'll follow you to your wife." I again tell her, "no, I'm not letting you follow me, stop harassing me. Either arrest me, or leave me be!"

The cop is getting very pissed. I don't care. So I start to walk away and the cop tells me to stop being belligerent or I'm going to get wrestled to the ground, still not saying I'm under arrest. I again ask if I'm under arrest. Otherwise I'm free to go, and I don't have time for this, and I walk off without even looking back carrying my son.

Some land of the free, with liberty and justice for all!

I think people should forget political stances for a minute and stop this asinine jabbing at each other. I mean we disagree over politics, but I think we can at least be civil and even friendly, excluding a few of the more insane members here. But Canna there is nothing wrong with communists, anarchists, or anarcho-communists. Whatever our ideology (excluding fascism) it's just the system we would feel benefit the most people.

The important thing to remember is that the police are not here to protect and serve. They are government enforcers and goons. You can scream about your rights all day long while they knock your teeth in but in the end, he may or may not get a suspension and you will definitely get apple sauce. Just do your best to stay out of their way and make any interaction with them as quick as possible.

canna's line is also a good one. they have two options: arrest you, or you're free to go. those are the only two outcomes (basically). keep asking them that and give them no time to formulate their next bullshit question, but be respectful.

cop: "i saw you walking away from that known pot selling house. i'm gonna go ahead and search you now"

citizen: "i was advised not to consent to a search without a warrant. am i free to go?"

cop: "what were you doing in that house?"

citizen: "i don't need to answer that. am i free to go, or am i under arrest?"

cop: "why don't you want to answer that? you have weed on you? just let me look if you don't."

citizen: "sorry, i was advised not to consent to searches without a warrant. am i free to go now officer?"

cop: "new iteration of same request for search"

citizen: "respectful iteration about being advised not to consent, request for clarification of impending arrest or being free to go."

rinse and repeat until you are walking away, having exercised your rights respectfully.

That is the right way to go about it. Don't be confrontational, just lay it down. Allow the pig time to think about the paperwork involved so he doesn't go with is gut reaction to bash your skull in.
