Yeah secrecy is a big deal. When I lived in NYC, I let a cat that I grew up with see my grow. BIG MISTAKE!!! Dude had the nerve to tell me not to tell this one in the 'hood and don't tell that one, because I quote "cause you don't want police or niggaz running up in your crib". But then this same guy went out and told any and everybody who would listen. Needless to say, I stopped fucking with that cat and dumb ass acted like he couldn't understand why. After that experience I learned a valuable lesson... silence is golden!

Yea everyone I know knows I grow, but only the certain few know where I live. Not too worried, Here in Cali.. Everyone grows, you cant just walkup to a Cop and say I know he has plants & expect them to give a damn.. & regarding "normal" people coming to my house for my plants..I aim for the Head, that way theirs only 1 side of the Story.

LOL the smoke I sell is heads and shoulders above the crap the local dispensary sells......around here an oz of The Church (garbage weed) sells for $300 an oz.....for anything at all kind the prices start at $400 an oz.
So my patient gets killer smoke and saves $100 an oz......hows that for helping him out wiseass?

so just my 2 cents if you can grow 12 plants for your patient why not give them a 1/8th for free off each plant you harvest thats not much and you should be getting at least a oz a plant right that would total to 1/8th of your profits ....and like my self i have a hand injury so i make my pateints come trimm cause i am not able to ...so im maily responsible for cloning vegging flowering /which means watering the plants and taking cuttings which aint a big deal ............then offer them half price of what the dipancery is charging ....to ensure the counted bussins if there your cuzz than take care of them but dont go bankrupt trying to do so ......feel lucky we live in age that this is the modern problem for growers ..cause it used to be a lot worse yeah know ...................also if you need a little more time or want anther harvest you could tell them that you got mold and had to throw everthing a way to restart ..that if they smoked that shit they could get sick .............make some money hit them up on the next go around

to me the cost of reimbursement that you charge your patients should be just a bit lower if not equal to the market price. if someone does not want to pay then tell them to grow it themselves or get it from somewhere else. now i would make an exception on a small scale once in a while for someone in a dire situation, but to constantly give your shit away for free is slaving for someone else whether it is growing weed or anything else if you put your time effort and money into something you better get payed or your just a sucker.

Wow that is Harsh, i set it up with my one Patient that he will be reimbursing the cost to grow, and for labor. but this is here in Washington State. And he is more than fine with that, also willing to help with lights etc to get started, like i think he should.

whatever dude.... you get to grow 12 plants for a patient. even if you get 1 lb from each harvest (thats just a bit more than 1 ounce per plant which is a very conservative estimate unless your a jackweed and don't know what your doing). so 1 lb of very good weed (again if you don't have some really good smoke, your a jackweed because its easy to get now). so 1 lb of very good weed, thats 16 ounces. now if you sell 16 ounces of very good weed, lets say for a very very conservative donation of $200 per ounce, thats $3200 per harvest. so if you think $3200 doesn't pay your electric bill and supply cost (and yes probably pays all your equipment in the first harvest), your just a plain scammer !!! you should be hooking up your patient (who you wouldn't be growing without (legally)) atleast an ounce or 2 per harvest. you'd still have close to 3g's per harvest.

Good luck with that The only thing you are providing is an extra plant count. An ounce a month for free, and additional meds at a discount off of retail is way more than enough. Things are changing in the country for mmj. Your plant count just isn't worth that much anymore.

Yikes.. As a 'grower' myself, I not only know what it takes to grow some of the best grass on the planet, I well know what is left over after I get my silly 2 ounces a month.. Heh, my grower asks me every month 'you sure this is going to be enough'.. As it should be.

I mean being a patient aint all fun and games.. I was in Montana when they locked all my buddies away (Flor even died in Jail) and took my medical records and harassed me to no end, even had two yellowstone county Sherrifs 'escort' my Uhaul to the Stillwater County line..

I come to Multnomah county, the Feds came in and by warrant obtained all the medical records again.. It is a 'shared' venture between grower and 'patient'.. a 'shared risk'' and ALWAYS, the grower 'profits' and the patient gets a few lousy ounces of grass a month.. a VERY good deal for both..

I agree with you that at least an ounce or two a harvest is reasonable. But be carefull with extrapolating your numbers, they are a little over the top.
200 an ounce is really a top end price in a lot of areas. If you want to move it quickly in my area you can probably get 2000 - 2400 a lb depending on whos buying, quality and strain. Other areas may be higher, but so is the risk.

To be able to manage a steady supply for your patient, that 12 plants actually turns into 4 plants for 3 harvests (4 in clone\seedling stage, 4 in Veg and 4 in flower) over 4-6 months. That is 4-6 months of electricity, nutes, space and tending. Thats also 4-6 months shouldering most of the Federal Risk. Despite what Obama said the Feds are still busting shops and growers as they please. They just did a smash and grab at a dispensary in eastern wa last week.

Oh yeah, I absolutely got your meaning. I bought a brand new Mustang and took it off roading. Talk about an expensive hobby! Hahaha by the way, it beat every truck out there! No shit!

IMO everyone is better off growing if they can. Not only do you quickly make ROI, you get the therapeutic benefits of growing plants. I have a lot of shiny shit locked up in my shop and that's great, but nothing really does it for me quite like the plants do. They're special, maybe because they're actually alive I guess.
For me, a big part of the therapeutic (medical) effect of this plant is the actual growing, so my grow room has been worth every dime I've invested in it.

Understandably some folks are unable to grow for themselves and need someone to handle that for them. Hopefully they're able to work that out, but it's outside of my realm entirely. I just hope people are nice to each other.

Yea it would be VERY HARD to give 2 oz for free a month. Especially if you got some yield.
