To jar or to bag ?

The electronics industry uses anti-static bags. The bags are actually conductive which has the effect of distributing and thereby nullifying any static charge. Of course, static electricity does not affect cannabis in any way. There are no micro-circuits in weed.

Even though plastic is gas permeable - which allows odors to pass through the bag - I prefer them for storage as they offer much more flexible transportation options.

Sorry but paper bags are a bad option as are plastic bags. The best and proven method is mason jar type containers. Burp the jars every 20 min!!! Really!!! Someone has a lot of time lol. If you get mold in a jar the weed is to wet period. I vape so i do like it a bit on the moist side and have to be careful about mold so i do freeze mine and that to is frowned upon but seems ok. I have stored it for 3-4 months with no ill effects. Hang it on stems but trimmed. When stem cracks (not bend) put it in jars and open once a day to let out excess moisture from curing process. If jars are sterilized it will be good for a year in a dark space.

Harvest.
Drying:
remove all big leaves(non trich covered leaves)
Hang for a week-10days in cool, dark space with ample airflow.
Remove all small leaves and big stalks.
Leave on a screen for a day or two in cool, dark spot(less airflow)
Curing:
Brown paper bags filled with 1oz each.
pack full and store in airtight bucket.
open bucket every day for an hour or so and move the paper bags around!
2-3 months and no mold issues as the paper bags breath.
Storage:
Buds are then STORED in jars for 6-8 months.
This gives my bud a shelf life of approx. 1 year! but it never seems to last that long anyway!

Theres your answer above.

Glass jars is the chosen method for storage.
If it is too damp when jarred, mold can develop.

I have read a few articles that have stated paper bags can leach some odour out of the paper. Never noticed when i used them but hey why take chances lol. I skip the bag dry and go right jars now.

Mason jars are the best way to store bud for long periods of time. Longest i've stored weed was 6 months it smelled so sweet and had a mango flavor to it . They stored and broke down all the sugar and starch thank you mason jars i will refill you soon!

No it dosent that's why they use it to insulate electrics its dose not conduct period! Look it up

Even if it did it wouldn't harm weed
anti static bags are slightly conductive simply to prevent any localized charges from being deposited onto the protected devices when handled.

You can use paper bags for the initial week or so dry but not long term storage. Mason jars for curing.

then there is re-using house hold shit, like coffee jars and jam jars
cookie tins with the silica gel in the lids work too lol

Jar. I trim and hang for 6 days then it is right into jars. after 24hrs. I open jars, if the buds feel wet I dump them out for 24 hrs. if they feel dry I close the jars up and leave them in a cool dark place and open them in 1 week, if they still feel dry I close them up and let them go for 2 weeks then check on them again. by this time they usually are just right and can be stored. you will have to play with hang time for your environment, if you dry in a humid environment it will take longer, if you dry in a low humidity environment you may only need a few days. Sweet smooth sticky tasty nuggets to keep my mind from consuming me.

They use chemicals in the process of making the brown paper bags and cardboard that off gas is what I always understood it to be, so paper bags and cardboard is a no. Plastic bags for personal use there is no excuse they are inferior. Coke always tasted better out of a glass bottle than a plastic one to me!

I read years ago in an Ed Rosenthal book that every clip-lock bag has an electrical charge [negative if memory serves] that attracts trichomes to stick to the bag. Every smoker has found a bag months after misplacing & the bag is always cloudy when it's held resinous pot. I have stored my pot in glass jars in a dark cool spot ever since. My pot never seems to lose potency even after 18 months. I prefer my trichomes to stay on the bud not stick to a bag :) Just saying....

Yes plastic does conduct static electricity :)

So your telling me that you have never got a plastic baggy out of a box and the inside weren't stuck together because of static electricity huh I see that as highly unlikely I'm not here to argue with you was just trying to put in my input
