So is the union of states a perpetual thing and people are bound to this "voluntary union" forever? How is that representative of a "free country" if people aren't free to disassociate?Awesome Idea
Would come in handy if we were ever invaded
My state could leave the Union and side with the enemy
I've seen foreign economists and social scientist say the only way we avoid a disastrous fall is if we split into a handful of countries. I saw a map suggested by a russian prof, I'll see if I can find it. Interesting take from the outside looking in.That all depends. Some people think that keeping persons in a "UNION" against their will was an act of treason by the Union forces and federal government. If the United States was a real voluntary union of independent states, it is logical to assume that a state could leave the Union. If the ability to disassociate is blocked the principles of freedom have been rejected.
I was hoping for something more acerbic. I've come to grips with your lack of substantive replies already. Have a nice day.*sigh*
FreedomJerk, how come you can't spell "worst" ??
And Rob Roy, as usual your post appeared on my screen as "Blah blah blah", my apologies I can't reply with something more substantive.

More Somalia please.
Sorry, you don't get to make up your own definitions. That's where direct democracy comes in. It's not a republican STATE where people have little to no say, it's a form of decentralized socialism that uses direct democracy.
Buck wants to pretend listening in and recording your private phone conversations is only "collecting phone numbers". He can't utter two words without one being a lie.As to point B we know they've been collecting more than just "phone numbers" https://www.policymic.com/articles/47059/nsa-prism-10-democrats-who-have-turned-on-obama-over-domestic-spying Obamanation
Hiring guards and building barricades to shut down an unmanned open air park is spending money that otherwise wouldn't have been spent. So this wasn't part of a shut-down, is was an expenditure designed solely to harm the public to win political points, as are many other acts undertaken by our "glorious leader".
You might want to keep an eye on that cat. He's not sleeping, he's plotting. There's a terrorist under my bed. No wait...just dustballs and the cat asleep. Whoo, that was a close one!
Have a lonely childhood? It's multi-racial. But my best friend growing up was a black cat, so I'm sort of "in" with black cats.
The guy with the jacket with stormtrooper heads is the winner! Not a single gun is pointed at him.so your ideal form of social interaction is a Mexican Standoff?
I hear Somalia is beautiful this time of year.Nobody is stopping you from leaving I suggest Somalia for ya
