Disagree.In a sense, air is the fuel for the cure. Sucking it out slows down the process quite a bit.
If the product is at its proper humidity and the storage container is airtight, such as a well-sealed mason jar, a humidity pack is not necessary. At all.

Curing buds are constantly giving off water vapor; that's an essential part of the process. Soooo.. humidity changes (increases) should be expected within the enclosed environment. That's exactly why you have to "burp" the containers at predetermined intervals... to release the vapor pressure (lower the RH) and then stabilize to a healthy level.
