Hi all. Being that I'm still a noob, I decided to post this grow up in the hopes you all will continue to keep me from fucking up too badly.
I have the Z7 and two Snow Goddesses vegging in 5 gallon air pots in FFOF. I also got my Blumats rigged back up including my hillbilly water tower with sight level gauge And I got my compost teas brewing again. No guanos yet, but I did boost it with a dose of cal/mg. The Tora Bora is still a baby in the dome.
Right now I have the following lights going:
(1) T5 HO 8 bulb 4' fixture
(1) T5 HO 4 bulb 4' fixture
(6) T5 HO 1 bulb 2' fixtures
(2.5) 240w (~133 real watts per) 7-band LEDs (one light crapped out exactly 1/2 of the bulbs hence 2.5)
So a bit over a KW. They seem to like it, but it's too much crap to fool with. I'm going to pull the T5s and replace with a 315w ceramic metal halide light come bloom time. I will keep the LEDs going to supplement as I am in a 4x4 tent..... Here's some pics and the cut sheet for the CMH lamp. Folks are supposedly getting great yields and the light produces less heat than one of my LEDs - I shit you not.
Here's the dope on the CMH light
Sun System® LEC 315 utilizes cutting edge Light Emitting Ceramic™ technology. Highly efficient agriculturally engineered CDM-T Elite 315/930/U/E Agro Lamp (lamp included). Greatly improved full color light spectrum out of next generation ceramic lamps. Higher amounts of beneficial UV and far red spectrums increase the lamps growth power to the plants. Very high 1.95 PPF per second light source. 3100K color temperature, high 92 CRI, 33,000 initial lumens (105Lm/W). Long life 20,000 hour lamp. High 90% lumen maintenance @ 8000 hr./High 85% PPF maintenance @ 20,000 hr. Unique open rated lamp construction reduces radiant heat from the arc tube and is suitable for open fixture use. 50/60 Hz low frequency, square wave, highly efficient electronic ballast rated for 50,000 hour ballast life. LEC 315 driver incorporates built in thermal protection. One year warranty lamp.
