1 can kidney beans, black beans either or
1/2 cup pre cooked quinoa (or make some) quinoa is good for anything can be white,red,black whatever
1 carrot
1 small onion
1 clove garlic
and any spices you like i use a bit of chili powder, onion , thyme,
1 heaping spoon of flour
If youre quinoa is not already cooked do so it will take the longest
drain and rinse beans add them to a pot of boiling water than simmer on low for 10 mins or until super tender (dont skip this step)
shred your carrot , cut your onion and garlic sautee till tender with your spices
Once your beans are soft drain , add them to a bowl with your quinoa and carrots,onions ect and mush together with a potato masher or a fork
add in 1 tablespoon of flour and mix i usually do this step with my hands it should be hamburger patty kinda texture and consistency
form into patties and cook in a skillet on med with extra virgin olive oil for about 5-7 mins on each side or until brown
They ARE NOT suitable for a grill and be careful with them as they are fragile but honestly ive made them many times and never managed to break them
should look like this when theyre done add them to a bun with your toppings i use tomato , lettuce onion pickle, veginaise mustard
