Arent there some kind of testers out there for soil or hydro that tells you the breakdown of all the mineralts, nutrients etc in the soil so you can scientifically make diagnosis based on the numbers????

I'll check for crunchiness tonight when I take pics. The 1000W MH is 36 inches away from the plants, so I highly doubt its heat. The humidity averages about 40% which is not ideal I know but not too awful bad.
