So after the first round of Neem oil via spray i saw a major decrease in Gnats on the plants but it took 4 rounds of spraying plus clearing out the first couple of inches of soil with fresh soil, covering it with DE and using fine river rocks. Almost all are gone now. Sticky pads worked well...

I’m thinking this is due to over watering. Any other thoughts? Out of five plants this is the only one showing me signs of issues.

That’s pretty cool and next cycle i may do the same but this time i had them smaller plastic pots.

So i just moved my girls in to 6 gal smart pots, and i have plans to do some mainlining with them. What would you say is a good amount of time to wait after potting up as not to stress them out?

I’m still pretty new to growing but would have to say that’s not good. I’d dump that soil and use some fresh soil. You may have also over watered which could be a contributing factor.

Here’s an update: just moved them to 6 gal smart pots. The smaller one had its starter leafs suck in the seed shell so it’s a little behind but it’s coming along.

I’ll keep a close eye, thank you.

Should have clarified, currently using big bloom and grow big at half strength twice a week.

Thanks, totally newbie here! Lol I was worried it’s light burn, i moved my LED’s and CFL up some just now. As for nutrients I’ve started Fox farms trio at half strength.

I’m 3 weeks in to veg and noticed this today, not sure what to make of it.. any ideas? The top leafs are coming up much lighter.

It’s been cooking in the sun for almost 3 weeks and i plan on leaving it like that for at least another week maybe two. I can always mix in some more soil.

Interesting, never heard of Greensand. Even though my soil has been cooking for a while i may try to find some. Thanks.

Thanks man great input, as for the DE, does it need to be food grade or pool grade?

I've used about 2.5 lbs (5 cups) in 3 CF of soil. Would you say that's on the heavy side or about right? Edit: from what i read about how much to use, it say 2 cups per 1/2 cubic foot of soil.
