High temp and low humidity problems in my tents

I have a 4x4 and 4x8 tent in a bedroom in sunny California. The 4x4 has a 4 inch exhaust fan and the 4x8 has a 6 inch exhaust fan. Both fans are exhausting directly out of the the house through a window. Intake is passive through the bottom tent flaps. The home has central cooling, and the...

Need help getting RH up in a hot tent

My tent is at 86*F and 46%RH. I have central cooling in my house and i have the exhaust fan running at full speed to get it down to 86*F. I've got a humidifer in the room the tent is in but it's not making an impact on the RH. I have a couple foggers on the way from Amazon too. How can I get...

Easier said than done with these two Geek Beasts in a 4x8 lol. The light coming out of the intake flap on the bottom of the tent seriously looks as bright as the mid day sun

    3000k vs 4000k

After reading this thread I'm feeling pretty good about my decision to go with 4000K in my veg tent and 3000K in my flowering tent. Got a brand new Kingbrite 480W in my 4x4 veg and some new Geek Beast Pros in the 4x8. My first few cycles were disappointing with these Amazon COB LEDs that I've...

Never mind. I had my thermometer on top of a black bucket lid which was soaking up the heats from the lights. I hung it at about canopy level and my temps are around 86-87*F constantly. I took some leaf temperatures using an IR thermometer and they're around 70-78*. I think I'm fine :)

Also my exhaust fans are running at full speed in both tents... is it better to run them at a lower speed? I will put them at 50% before lights on tonight and see how my temps are.

I have central A/C in the home but it's already running as low as I'm comfortable running it. I may need a portable AC unit for the room my tent is in. I have another 4x4 tent in there with a Kingbrite 480W which is getting up to about 89* too.

Are you guys battling any heat issues with the Geek Beast? I've been ramping my brightness up this past week. I got it up to 70% and my tent is around 91*F with my room ambient at about 78*F

IMPORTANT: read before you order a GeekBeast Pro

Sorry to hear that man. I received my two Geek Beast units this week. Eva asked me if I wanted the control units and the bridge before purchase... I played it safe and said give me it all. If it's any consolation, the app control is nothing special. Overall it's not very intuitive and the...

    2 Tents 2 Fans 1 Vent

I have two grow tents with a window in between them. One tent is a 4x8 with a 6 inch exhaust fan and the other is a 4x4 with a 4 inch exhaust fan. I bought a window vent kit but it only has a 4 inch port. Is it okay to connect both exhaust fans to a Y at the vent? And will using a 4 inch vent...

I should be okay with either dimming the lights or raising them higher.

I decided to go with the Kingbrite 480W @ 4000k for the veg tent. Might also be a bit of overkill - but like you said, nice to have options.

What do you think would be the best buy for my 4x4 veg tent? I feel like the IR and UV on those Monster Boards would go to waste as I thought that stuff is only for flowering...

Still no independent review of the GeekBeast Pro???

Hey guys. I ordered two of the Geek Beast Pros (a bit of an impulse buy) last week and they arrived yesterday. So far I'm very glad that I pulled the trigger. Putting them together was fairly simple and I had them hanging in 4x8 flower tent in no time. I'm replacing some pretty crappy Amazon...
