Never mind. I had my thermometer on top of a black bucket lid which was soaking up the heats from the lights. I hung it at about canopy level and my temps are around 86-87*F constantly. I took some leaf temperatures using an IR thermometer and they're around 70-78*. I think I'm fine :)

Also my exhaust fans are running at full speed in both tents... is it better to run them at a lower speed? I will put them at 50% before lights on tonight and see how my temps are.

I have central A/C in the home but it's already running as low as I'm comfortable running it. I may need a portable AC unit for the room my tent is in. I have another 4x4 tent in there with a Kingbrite 480W which is getting up to about 89* too.

Are you guys battling any heat issues with the Geek Beast? I've been ramping my brightness up this past week. I got it up to 70% and my tent is around 91*F with my room ambient at about 78*F

I should be okay with either dimming the lights or raising them higher.

I decided to go with the Kingbrite 480W @ 4000k for the veg tent. Might also be a bit of overkill - but like you said, nice to have options.

What do you think would be the best buy for my 4x4 veg tent? I feel like the IR and UV on those Monster Boards would go to waste as I thought that stuff is only for flowering...
