Or just veg for a shorter period of time before flowering. Or flower straight from seed, I can't see it getting 4ft tall if you go 12/12 from seed. Wouldn't mind if it was mine tho!

From what I gathered, yellowing of the leaves on clones are perfectly normal. It uses energy in its leaves to form roots causing them to wilt a bit but as soon as the roots are in place they'll start sucking up all the goodness in the soil again and will be fine.
