Indica Vs Sativa High - Is it really a thing?

Could it all be placebo? only blind tests with large sample sizes will know. I admit I'm probably a victim to placebo, and spreading these 'unproved' infomation at times to my fellow tokers.

C0C0 C0IR Run off PPM reading keeps shooting up even after a heavy flush. HELP! (in flower)

Dry coco is also especially bad AND can give false EC runoff readings if you measure. HOW? When coco is dry and you water it, it'll create channels, so half your feed goes straight down without having a chance for the coco to absorb the nutrients. I always try to check my runoff ec at the VERY...

C0C0 C0IR Run off PPM reading keeps shooting up even after a heavy flush. HELP! (in flower)

You flatter too much! Just trying to help people 'understand' why they do what they do. Having data can show so many things! I mean just from that you can even see plants transpire at night even in my case 750gr of weight was lost which is like 750ml overnight. The bottom graph is stretched in...

C0C0 C0IR Run off PPM reading keeps shooting up even after a heavy flush. HELP! (in flower)

Ok I've made a graphic that should help everyone out and show how much these plants transpire. I'm lucky enough to have a weight sensor on one of my pots. Having data in any setup prevents guessing. Also shows how you can't over water in coco.

C0C0 C0IR Run off PPM reading keeps shooting up even after a heavy flush. HELP! (in flower)

Ok haven't read that link but I would add. The biggest decider of your watering schedule for coco is pot size vs plant size Imagine a 1lb plant in 12 gallons. Eg. You need to Water 3 times a day to prevent dryback of more than 20% 1lb plant in 7 gallons, water 5 times a day 1lb plant in 3...

    Adjusting Nutrient levels

The nutrient charts given by the companies never state the size of pot, plant size, the medium, how many times /days per week @ to use it @certain strength etc. If i used 2.0ec on my 16 x 7 gallons while trying to prevent ec buildup. I'd be going through an insane amount of $$$. Someone using...

    Adjusting Nutrient levels

I've never needed anything much more than around 1.4ec +-. But in the hydroponic tomato industry the standard is 2. 0-2.3 I don't think I've seen under 2 and I've visited several. Also ec in the professional greenhouse industry is also used to steer the plant. Either way, as long as the...

Indica Vs Sativa High - Is it really a thing?

Wrote similar in another thread but Scientist believe it's the biggest shit show in the industry. No one has successfully been able to identify indica or sativa in a blind test with a believable sample size. A description of an indica by a French naturalist described indica as a thin leafed...

C0C0 C0IR Run off PPM reading keeps shooting up even after a heavy flush. HELP! (in flower)

Yes, if you're in the steering stage to grow roots, you can dry it out a bit. But not to the extent you're thinking. Look up dryback. In a professional greenhouse with much at stake. One would measure the runoff after the first feed Everyday. Then depending on the program, the dripper might...

C0C0 C0IR Run off PPM reading keeps shooting up even after a heavy flush. HELP! (in flower)

Never let your coco dry Drying coco also increases the ppm as your nutes dry out leaving behind the salt. The longer you leave your coco to dry, the more run off the next feeding should be Try get used to EC instead. Being in Australia one can't be too sure if people are using the x500 or x700...

    One pound harvest?

The height of your plant doesn't really dictate your yield. It's how efficiently you're converting all that light energy into mass. 2 extreme examples. Instagrammer "northern scrogger" gets 1lbs+ plants that are like 3 inches in height lol Ttystikk on these forums gets 1lbs+ from like 3sqft of...

    One pound harvest?

Hi Not a soil grower, but I looked up that light Its 300watts true output. Not sure what diodes they are but You'd need to pull a smidge over 1.5grams per watt to achieve a lb. Now if your plants are healthy all the way, and in ideal conditions, you can achieve this if NONE of your light is...

Ideal temps and humidity with QuantumBoards

Guys just because a plant did well in a certain environment, it doesn't mean it's optimum or ideal. For example with tomatoes.. Ask anyone who owns a multimillion dollar dutch greenhouse, The ideal humidity in their case is 80% Their ideal daytime temperature is 20c Their ideal NIGHT time...

    Purple stems...and purple viens!!!!

I wouldn't worry about red/purple stems unless you're getting other problems too. A lot of the time, red stems are like a sun tan. About 20 years ago, some apple farmer i knew tasked all his workers to go through each lane and pluck the leaves which were blocking the apples. I can't remember...

    Any guess on yield? :p

What's the chicken wire for? lol Reason why you should never DOUBLE/TRIPLE your deficiency is because lack of said element might not be the cause of the deficiency in the first place. Maybe you have PLENTY of N in there but your plant is not able to take it up. Try identify the source of the...

    Mars Tsl2000 flower cycle...

Nice! I wonder why not many people use a metal trellis! It makes things a LOT easier to train, tie, keeps flat, etc. I also see in the beginning you've pruned quite a lot of shoots! if you could sort of simulate your bending early, by holding the branches down and seeing which ones are pointing...

    Any guess on yield? :p

It depends, Some people prefer or seem to accept it's normal to have yellow lower leaves, some people yellow fan leaves in late flower it's acceptable. I'm in week 5 and get stressed out even when I see 1 yellow leaf. As my best yields have been when my entire plant stayed green.(not too...

Help Is this a Magnesium def if not wut?

Were the leaves perfectly healthy when you just potted them? I can't tell if thats a seedling or clone. Could be from a minor stress when they were initially potted and took time for everything to sync. Also hard to tell by the photo but your coco looks like it could be completely dry? Never let...

    Any guess on yield? :p

I don't know if it's the lighting /photo /my phone screen. But your entire plant is a bit yellow and seems to be taking nutrients off a few lower leaves. What's your feeding like?
