    Show your grow

Happy to announce this one pulled a little over 21. That puts it just over 1.5g /watt, a little over 2.1 per 4x4 and roughly 666gr/m2 Not as good as the SOG boys but for 50w 2 years old cxb3590s its not bad.

Here's mine. Some of my lights are only 3-4 inches from a bud. Lol

    3500 color temp?

Hey I've noticed a lot of dead bugs at high humidity too. If you guys Google up "lies our father told us humidity" there is even a massive thread on experiences of growing with high humidity. @Randomblame that's right dude 70-80% during flower even. It's almost impossible to get a room...

    3500 color temp?

I can never get my VPD in that range. Even on best of days I can get about 1.2 but I know some greenhouses aim for 0.7-1.2. For the last 4 weeks it's been 0.4-0.7 and my plants are drinking 5 litres a day each atm! I have never observed any difference in plant drinking rate ( going by pot weight...

    3500 color temp?

High humidity is definitely fine in veg. I run 70-80% in veg as I struggle to go any lower unless my exhaust fan runs @250w. But be careful with VPD charts as not all plants are the same. I mean look at the rainforests, and tropical countries pressure there would be extreme! On a side note...

    3500 color temp?

Na variance of about 650-950 But the 950 plant was next to the wall which made it extra surprising! But no matter which grow I do. The corner with the 3000k is always ends up about 5-10cm higher after a few weeks veg!

    3500 color temp?

Get 3000k if you like a little bit of stretch. Get 3500k if your grow space is quite tight. The largest plants from my last pull gave me about 950g dry. It was under 3000k so it did hog a bit of space from the ones under 3500k. I'd say the plant under 3000k ended up about 10-20%...

GPW? Should we start focusing on GSQM instead?

I think everyone here has valid points. Just remember, even if we have 3-4 pieces of data. Everyone is going to be interested in different data sets. I myself would be interested in g/sqm and be interested in that certain grow. A large commercial might be only interested in gp/w to total time...

GPW? Should we start focusing on GSQM instead?

After reading the replies, some of you guys have actually thought of excellent ways to measure yields! Why didn't I think of that? 1.4gpw @ 570gr/sqm @ 15 weeks total Because, really.. Who wouldn't be trying to squeeze as much gr/m2 as they can? Unless you have access to warehouses. In that...

GPW? Should we start focusing on GSQM instead?

Hi. Thought I'd give my 2c. Got this idea from the 4lbs per 4x4 thread. Let's face it. Most growers aren't limited by the power available, but the grow space available. Another thing most growers chase is yield. LED tech has become efficient enough that the lmc561 and 301 make a difference to...

    Plan: 2x 38 Gallon pots. Scrog in a 8x4 tent need advise,height......

Ahh forgot to add that my ceiling is 2.4m I use a single net at ~1 meter. And my girls grow to about 1.2 meters. I use foam risers, and even ceiling fans, so 7ft is plenty!!

    Plan: 2x 38 Gallon pots. Scrog in a 8x4 tent need advise,height......

@salah. You can veg quite long in 12g. Once I got a cutting from someone really early and ended up vegging that one cutting for 10 weeks. It was a regular 12g ( non fabric or airpot) and it ended up with 3lbs. Mind you this was about 7ft tall indoors with vertically mounted 600w hps (in cool...

    Plan: 2x 38 Gallon pots. Scrog in a 8x4 tent need advise,height......

I don't think a pot that size is necessary. I've done a 2lbs (dry) plants with 7 weeks veg in a 12 gallon air pot.

    Problems since switching to leds

Feeding as often as you do, I would definitely give a lighter feed. Your leaves are very dark green. I'm feeding my 5 gallon pots 4 time a day and my 12 gallons 3 times a day and my plants seem to grow insanely fast. In fact I left one tap off accidentally for 2 days (on a12gln) and that plant...

    Led Users Unite!

With cxb3590 @ 50 watts I can't seem to get over 1.4-1.5gpw and from reading a lot of the replies 1.3-1.5 seems to be the average. Anyone getting 1.8gpw+ with these at 50w? As I'm very curious about the setup (sog?). My setup consists of 120 x cxb cobs and 240w worth of hard strips in 12...

Set up a new drip system. How many emitters are needed

I think with drip irrigation, the approach is a slow enough feed to really saturate every bit of coco. 3 times per day for 4 minutes each.. I used to do that and still at the end of my grow, my roots are still crowded at the bottom. I now run my pumps for 10 seconds on, 2 minutes off for a...

    QB324 Warning

To everyone doing DIY, you should always use a multimeter and check continuity of the + and - wire before plugging it in. Ive had this same issue with some no name strips I purchased and it bugged me to shit too! Until I took some screws off, used nylon washers etc

Controlling lots of DC fans (active cooling)

Just do what I do and use a ceiling fan. 4x 20-30w ceiling fans to cool 100+ DC ceiling fans can use as little as 5-10watts But too to answer your question, I thought about this . There are these tiny fan controller chips on eBay I think , in the end it might be more hassle than it's worth...

Arduino experiments - Datalogger for the grow room

Here's what i'm talking about. Does it look like concrete evidence or what? It's winter here so humidity outside maxes out during rain, Yellow line on top is inside temp, red outside you can clearly see when my light turns on, as temp increases rapidly, also you can see the jaggered dips which...
