For leds, your best bet is to look for the "actual wattage" or "power draw" under the specifications. This one looks like a "Avg. Power Draw: 240W". So not terrible at all but far from a 2000w. You may be able to lower that light a bit.

Any generic potting soil would work. Extra perlite/vermiculite would help.

Blue/Purple (blurple as people call them) lights often are lower quality and the manufactures will also make the lights seem better than they are. Its doubtful that your light is really 2000w. Do you have a link to the actual light? Also how close is it to your plant?

I run a HLG qb 620+ watt diy kit. I've seen some talk about adding uvb to increase potency with LEDs. I have just a couple questions.. Is this proven to work? Can you recommend a fixture and bulb? Would this be effective use of cash? Thanks for any help :)
