Offering Electrical / Control Circuit / Programming Help

So far I've had no problems with the esps. Before this attempt, I tried the 433mhz transmitter/receiver combination but found that setup to be buggy, with outside interference causing things to turn on or off randomly. I'm using (learning to use) Node-Red and MQTT to publish messages between...

Offering Electrical / Control Circuit / Programming Help

I have an automated grow system that started on an Arduino Uno (sensors controlling relays) and has evolved in to 2 separate sensor boxes, 1 for soil farmers and 1 for hydro farmers, controlling ancillary equipment plugged into home made smart switches (true 15A smart switches). So far I've...

Offering Electrical / Control Circuit / Programming Help

Welcome and pleased to meet you. We share similar interests. What are you programming? I am currently working on a project involving a Raspberry Pi and several ESP8266-12Es. Have you been down that road?

    Right size fan/carbon filter?

One last thought: I think the Phresh Calculator is unclear on what "Number Of Light" means. One of my early grows was in 96 cubic feet and had 12 65W fluorescent light bulbs. According to their calculator, I required 1832cfm. LOL! That would have changed the air 19 times a minute... and if you...

    Right size fan/carbon filter?

Multiplying would change the air 3 times a minute. I thought that that1guy1388 wanted to change the air every 3 minutes and thus divided.

    Right size fan/carbon filter?

I took your 270 cfm and added 20% for 2k LED (54 cfm) and 20% for scrubber (54 cfm) and another 10% for ductwork (27 cfm) and got a total of 405 cfm. Divide that number by 3 to get 135 cfm minimum. So I guess that would be my guess. You entered 5 lights? I entered 2 (for 2kw) and got 390 cfm...

    Smell control.

Did you have this problem during your previous indoor grows? If no, and it is just now becoming noticeable, may just need to change the carbon in the filter. If yes, maybe the vent system was undersized in the beginning.

    Temperatures

I believe if the temps drop too much, you'll have problems associated with high humidity.

    Wiring

That's not enough info for me. Maybe with a few more photos of the rest of the wiring or make and model so that we can look the info up. A schematic would be real nice. To me, the photo you included shows where to connect the incoming power connection. I would want more info before instructing...

    PH Tester?

I relied on a Milwaukee Martini PH55 for many years when I was growing hydroponically and never had any problems with it. The biggest complaint I had was that there is no way to stand the thing on it's cap to keep the storage solution in. I had to make a stand to keep the meter in an upright...

    Humidity

80% is good for seedlings and clones, and to keep spider mites at bay, however it invites fungus and stem and root rot in maturing plants. I try to keep the humidity down to ~65% for vegetation and ~50% for flowering using a combination of ventilation, air conditioning and dehumidification. A...

    HLG-100s to use

In my opinion, 8 to get full coverage for flowering, 4 for full coverage for vegetation. This is based on 4 sq.ft. per light for flowering and 9 sq.ft. per light for vegetation. The 8 HGL-100s will run ~$1200.00. The HGL-600H is ~$760.00 and is designed to cover 16 to 25 sq.ft. This would seem...

    4x4 auto grow

Maybe I can help with a little more info. How tall is your tent/room? In my area, I have to design for odor removal mainly which requires a larger filter and fan running more often. Do you live in such a situation? What lights do you use?

What is the best all around environment controller to buy?

I too am getting together a controller based on a Raspberry Pi controlling several ESP8266-12E SOCs over wifi. I look forward to following this thread and maybe adding one of my own on the subject.

    Sensibo Wifi Smart AC controller

It's good that this is working so well for you. A few questions... Are you controlling your lights with one of these? How many amps can it control? And can you control multiple controllers with 1 app?

    Hana Instruments PH Meter

I don't know about the Canadian prices or shipping. But at horticulturesource, I saw the HI73127 replacement probe for $52.36US + shipping for the next 10 hours. I have seen the HI73128 installation tool for $21.00US at triquatics, though again, I don't know about delivery to Canada. That's a...

    2 X 150w HPs 'Vs' a single 250 w HPs in a verticaly challenged grow room

    I couldn't have said it better. I would look for a Samsung LM301B led (223 lm/W) or LM561C led (210 lm/W) kit.

    Grow room vs tent

Sounds like a good idea for the immediate future, easier to maintain the day/night temps, humidity, light and other aspects of growing plants. Even with the tent, provide a way for outside air to get into the room as well, to replace the air exhausted from the room. I would recommend obtaining...
