    Rotating platform for tents/small grows?

You know how mannequins in window displays are sometimes set on rotating platforms? I was wondering how feasible it would be to apply that idea to a tent grow so that the few plants in the tent (or small space) can get the most exposure to the light I was pricing a few....They are either cheap...

    Do you foliar-feed?

I just did a google search on "the science of foliar feeding" and most of what I read was that the plants DO absorb nutrients through the leaves.....but the duration is shorter than absorbing nutrients through the roots. I couldn't really find anything that was in opposition to foliar feeding...

    Do you foliar-feed?

Yeah, I've always gotten good results without foliar-feeding, but I wanted to try it, myself, this time, and see if any other people were using the technique. I think plants do absorb some nutes through the leaves and they do seem to like getting misted a few times a day. Maybe it's just the...

    3 X 3 tent: Updayday 500 watt light? 400 watt MH bulb? HLG300RedSPec? 2X Viparspectra XS1500pro?

Updayday Updatedate....see what I did there? XD This light is incredibly "fun" (as far as lights can be fun). I was looking at the LEDs in a reflected image (-can't look directly at the light) and they are very different than the typical, full-spectrum white chips. These chips are ALL kinds of...

What to do when stem snaps?

Man, I've literally had a plant split right down the middle...taped back together and a month later, it had a nice healed callous. The plants are almost indestructible when it comes to bending/breaking. Even if a branch breaks completely off, the remaining plant will throw out growth to compensate.

    Do you foliar-feed?

Anyone? I am noticing that the fertilizer salts in the spray-droplets are drying and leaving salty spots on some of the leaves. I don't think it's a big deal. Like I say, I am only spraying during veg. As soon as I flip, then no more spraying. I think the plants are responding well so far.

    Bud curing

+1 for Grove bags. Expensive? Yes, for a "plastic" bag.....BUT, (They aren't regular plastic) and they really work well for long-term storage IF you heat seal them. If you don't heat seal them, then you might as well save your money.

An interesting observation (to me anyway)

Are you going to press that into rosin?

High tap water ph for supersoil

"Soil" = dirt with living "stuff" in it that creates and maintains its pH -like what Grandma has in her vegetable garden. "Soil" = bagged potting mix comprised of peat moss, perlite, etc. -basically inert components....does NOT maintain its pH. You must maintain the pH, yourself. In my...

    Do you foliar-feed?

Typically I don't spray anything on my plants. However, I am trying a bit of foliar feeding this run. I use a dilute solution of Schultz liquid 10-15-10 during the veg cycle. I am a big Schultz fan. I know it's common and is probably tied to some bad corporate whatever...but the plants seem to...

    Weird Pheno or Issue

It could be a form of variegation. I am experiencing the same thing in a single phenotype of Tuna Kush. The plant seems perfectly healthy and is growing very well....but it has that same type of blotchy-ness. I am going to take mine all the way to see what happens.

Have you ever gotten a variegated plant?

I almost culled it from the start. The other two phenotypes which came from the same batch of seeds, are not displaying any variegation at all, but they are growing ever-so-slightly slower than the variegated plant! Go figure! It's Tuna Kush which (I'm told) is originally from the Canadian...

Have you ever gotten a variegated plant?

The first thing I thought was "VIRUS!"....but then, everything else about the plant was on-point. The roots are white and healthy...no necrosis of any tissue....nothing indicative of a deficiency....pH is on-point. It's just one of those "red-headed step children" that popped up out of a...

Is everyone having trouble getting rid of their weed

My take on this is that young people do NOT know what real marijuana is(was) because not even their parents were alive when it was around. They're just too young. They sell their weed based on legend. It's like that scene from American Beauty where the kid gives the choice of the "decent" weed...

Have you ever gotten a variegated plant?

What disease are you seeing, exactly? That's what I thought at first, too, but the variegated plant is outgrowing the other two phenos by a node! They all germinated at the same time. A diseased plant typically doesn't outgrow a healthy plant. That's when I started looking into variegation. On...

    +1 for variegated.

    Small light recommendation

Yeah, they sure are! I had no idea they were that expensive! I guess the aquarium crowd is willing to pay, but.....yeah....wow! Plus, they don't offer anything that looks like the proper spectrum, anyway. I just remember them from several years ago and some people were using them. They also use...

Ready or not northern lights photoperiod

Wait for a few more weeks. I grew NL #2. I never take a strain less than 10 weeks, typically. I've had exceptions, but, overall, 10 weeks is my rule.

Can you tell how good the weed is just by looking at it?

I never saw a single trichome on any of the old school buds like the ones pictured above. No one ever mentioned "trichomes"....ever. The weed look "bad" by today's standards for showy-looking, well-trimmed bud, but I guarantee you that those old, craggy, leafy, dried-out buds would put you into...

Have you ever gotten a variegated plant?

Nope....It's not a disease. The plant is perfectly healthy and, in fact, is growing faster than the other two, non-variegated phenotypes. I find it interesting. This is the first one I've ever gotten. Anyone else?
