Mammoth mint white emerald green 880w

White and red is all you need. You can get fancy with UV,FR,Green,Blue whatever... But I doubt you're really going to notice that much of a difference other than maybe better terpenes and plant shape. CO2 and intensity are more important than all the mumbo jumbo.

NEWS: New Red diode from Osram

I heard through a guy (in the LED industry) that the true increase in efficiency would only be around 5% for the 3737's. But 5% is still the bump we've been anticipating over previous generation 3030's. There 3535's that are quite good too.

    Upgrading LED Lights

I'm missing a light with a switch, more blue in veg, more red in flower. But generally, the only reason you'd be getting better results with one brand over the other is spectrum. You're better off getting a light that is geared towards RGB ratios, with higher concentration of red in the...

NEWS: New Red diode from Osram

Yeah, Osram is quite good on price for what you get. Always have been.

NEWS: New Red diode from Osram

Not sure why they have 2 far reds GF 1 and 2? I don't think the 640 is released yet. The 3737 were advertised many months ago, but they were not available until recently. The white one is pretty impressive too at almost 10x PPF a lm301 from Sammy.

NEWS: New Red diode from Osram

Well yeah, that's true to an extent, and you can get quite high red from 3000k diodes, but the more phosphorous you put in them, the less efficient they become. The added 660nm red also peaks higher than the red in whites quite considerably.

Interesting? Samsung Shifts Focus: Exit from LED Business to Prioritize Semiconductor

I could almost see this coming... White light is no longer most efficient in the 301 package from Samsung, and they never did make red, or blue in a 3030 package. I do like their 437nm contribution, although their own tests show better flavinols coming from a non-437nm diode. If they would...

NEWS: New Red diode from Osram

So, Osram recently released a new 3737 Red diode which is 11% more efficient than previous generation. Another thing worth mentioning is that the peak wavelengths are shifted from 646nm-666nm from previous generation to 665nm-680nm. So more towards the 700nm mark. I'm not sure the difference...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Dude, there are several diodes which are out on the left board. As Rocketsoul says, just cut it in half an discard the faulty side. Then run the positive and negative to the positive and negative on the driver an run half the power. You could probably use a wattmeter to know what wattage you're...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

If they are running these boards at 314W DC/55v/5.6A for the HLG 350... that means you could get more out of 1 x QB648 by using a 200W driver. Yeah its not going to be as electrically efficient at lower wattages, but you're getting a lot more light by squeezing the white diodes from 77.77mA to...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

I've decided though... I wouldn't add anything other than far red to the circuitry, unless there's a good argument that the 405 lifespan us the same, which ut seems there may be some doubt.

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Well the Nichia 405's are like 4V+... Not really an issue adding 2V, but wouldn't you have to do it to every circuit? and there are 6. But overall 660nm would take a hit?

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Which 400nm diode?`And that would probably fuk up the circuit, no? I'd be more tempted to add FR. I think voltage wise the Osram Square Reds are quite compatible, but their royal blue is 25% higer voltage.

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Well according to HLG reds's are 6x the current of whites. So St test-current on whites of 65mA reds will be 390mA. So at test current of white total system would be 2.73A @ 56V (actually probably lower with low voltage bins) that's 152.88W. Thats running at half the test current for red. If we...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

I don't quite understand this chart... could you explain why voltage are increased by almost 9V at 2200mA to go from 112.2w to 129.4W? How does current stay at 2.2A?

Hey bud, how u like them? Comparable to other lights u tried?

    LM301H vs LM301H-EVO

My bad, apparently the Diablo X is 5280K. Which means they would probably be using 5700K and 4000K to achieve this CCT. Now if you are going for a versatile light which will be good for VEG and Flower, then this makes good sense, considering the amount of red photons 660nm available. Apparently...
