    Trap Plants

I wouldn't put anything into a tent that will attract any bugs. The advantage of a tent is that you can create a "sterile" environment. But you have to maintain that environment from the start. Aphids are usually more of an issue outdoors. If you're getting them in a tent, then you need to...

    Why dispensary weed SUCKS!

It's kinda like when you go to the grocery store to get a tomato. Yeah, you can get a tomato -(well, it looks like a tomato, anyway). But if you have ever grown your own, heirloom tomatoes, then you know that the grocery store tomatoes aren't really even tomatoes! But those huge commercial...

    Why dispensary weed SUCKS!

There are some commercial growers who don't even smoke. They just have a lot of experience at running a huge greenhouse operation.

Can hemp be "improved" over time so that is qualifies as marijuana?

I think it would be interesting as an experiment especially since weed has lost a lot of value in lots of places. Learning something new is productive.

Can hemp be "improved" over time so that is qualifies as marijuana?

Right...not just one plant...but say, just for fun and giggles, you throw a bucket full of hemp seeds down in a field and at harvest time, you walk through the field and you see this one plant that looks twice as full and dense as any other plant in the field -a mutant, let's call it. And then a...

Can hemp be "improved" over time so that is qualifies as marijuana?

Thanks for the responses. Yes, I just buy real seeds. It was just something I was thinking about. When I was young back in the 70's I lived in an area where wild hemp grew in the drainage ditches alongside the country roads. Back, then it wasn't legal to even grow hemp...It was just something...

Can hemp be "improved" over time so that is qualifies as marijuana?

According to what I've read, hemp is the same exact plant as marijuana -except that hemp has 0.3% THC or less -and anything above that level is technically marijuana. Which brings me to the question of "Is it possible to buy legal hemp seed and then grow it under supreme conditions and breed...

I have a hermie. Don't know what to do or to expect.

You gotta put yourself on a slower scale of expectations when it comes to plants. You can't keep piling on new things and changing everything around if you're not seeing overnight results. Every time you change something you might as well figure that you will have about a one-week setback before...

    Haze History being Rewritten?

Funny....I grew up in the 70's and I never heard the word Haze....except in reference to Purple Haze...and that was a whole other deal! ;) The names of weed back then were always in reference to where it came from..."Oaxacan", "Acapulco Gold", "Columbian", "Panama Red", "Hawaiian", "Thai", etc...

    Fans for tents

I use Supco (brand) Zoom Spout oil that's made especially for fans and high speed electric motors, but 3-in-1 oil also works. Sometimes, if the fans have been sitting around for awhile, they freeze up, in which case you pull off the plastic blade assembly and help start the motor spindle to...

    Extremely slow growth. Help please!

1.) Lights are not strong enough 2.) 2 TBS of vinegar to a 1/2 gallon of water is too acidic -waaaay overcompensating for the "slightly" alkaline condition. Wild pH fluctuations for a small plant isn't good. 3.) Too much fertilizer for a plant that isn't big enough to process it. My advice...

    Fans for tents

I have had good performance from the Sun Leaves (brand) "Wind Tunnel" in-line fans and "Dura-Breeze" clip-on fans. I do have to clean and oil the small clip on fans every run, but they have lasted me over 10 years now. The in-line fans have been maintenance-free and are the quietest ones because...

New Lighting Products/Tech? I'm Out Of The Loop. Fill Me In.

He was working with those guys awhile back as I recall. I guess this light is the result. Looks like a good one and ApacheTech has been around forever. All their other lights seem like old technology, though. I'm not sure if it's been mentioned in this thread already somewhere, but CMH fixtures...

Help me identify this please, babies are suffering :'(

Well, I'm just throwing this out there, but IF you can dim them to 75% of full power, then I think they would "cruise" a little better and maybe darken up a smidge. In my experience with LEDs, you can back them off the plants pretty far. I think it's because, unlike the Sun outside, the LEDs...

Help me identify this please, babies are suffering :'(

Looks like male preflowers from the pics, but I always allow myself to live in denial for a bit before I finally accept it. ;) As far as the plants...They look healthy to me. The light might be a little too strong for them. Maybe try to dim them down a bit more or raise them if you can't dim...

    Do you get high?

@Killaki If she uses marijuana in excess, all the time, then that will become her "normal" state of being. Typically, getting high is when you alter your normal state of being. She can't get high because she's already high. Have her try a day of vigorous exercise without using marijuana.

    Updayday LED thread

I got a message from UpDayDay after I gave them a crap review for receiving a broken light. I got a full refund from Amazon. UpDayDay then sent me a new light for free. That's good customer service at least. So, the light arrived yesterday and this time it appears to be intact -in spite of the...

The Strain That Brought Their Fame

That's a good point. You're right. The marketing has been going on long enough now, that if you didn't actually live and smoke during the time when those old strains were THE strains, then you'd have no reference to what was what. If there was a way to get back to those old landrace type flavors...
