thanks mo. cold nights arent good for sure. i did had problems with P last run with plain soil, this time there is the worm castings and the charged charcoal plus i went heavier with the bat guano. seems they can take some tablespoons guano easily late stretch, begiinig of stretch i gave some...

    modular overkill led striplight build

just a observation. plant posture is nice, no complains. but i think 850ppfd (reading taken right next to this top), are enough at this stage. the plant is showing it to me with these serated edges. its not too dry or hot for sure, beeing never below 50% and seldon reaching 24C. all is fine...

    modular overkill led striplight build

time for a update, all is working well, no complains from my side. 5 weeks in. 235W 3200K and 660nm plus the buddies, i enabled the 4000K also to fill the outer edges better with some light. i cant go higher with the fixture, it looks further away on the pic then it is in real, its 3 inches...

    modular overkill led striplight build

all good in both tents. the squaremeter tent is seeing 240W 3200K and 660nm reds, plus 25W from the buddies. all nice and healthy. some tops are too close, 3 to 4 inches from the leds, seeing over 1000ppfd. so far they took it ok, not much tacoing or else to see. smaller tent is seeing 160W...

    Praying leaves

i have no clue why this rosette want to go horizontal instead of vertical like the other named plants. maybe its picked cause its the exeption of the rule. for me shade avoiding plant and protective mechanism dont exclude each other. understood it as you "trying to avoid more light" intensity...

    Praying leaves

i understood it so far. there are only 2 types of plants, shade avoiding and shade loving plants. cannabis is classified as shade avoider. the article is only refering to shade avoiding plants. i would think the relevant part for us should be. "response of many non-rosette species, in which...

    Praying leaves

something ive found. "Shade avoidance-related leaf positioning has been reported in Impatiens (Whitelam & Johnson 1982), tobacco (Hudson & Smith 1998; Pierik et al. 2004a) and Arabidopsis (Vandenbussche et al. 2003; Millenaar et al. 2005), with leaf inclination varying with the ratio of red...

    Praying leaves

i could not find the study anymore. its not science, just grow weed easy but could imagine its based on the study. https://www.growweedeasy.com/why-are-marijuana-leaves-pointing-up i think whats described is only true when our plants are in flower and there are more factors influecing it, like...

Rurumo's Mars Hydro FC6500 grow journal

i think in the end its all a bit trial and error, especially with organics. am prob just lucky, found a premixed soil which isnt too hot and found some good worm castings it seems (sold in a pack with charged biochar, both together are a complete meal). maybe my dry salt isnt optimal for cocos...

    Praying leaves

i can not find it anymore but there are studies saying its a defense mechanism vs. light. they try to collect less photons this way and let more to the lower less saturated leaves. plants have not many ways to signalize things, so prob the praying have several meanings. based on my personal...

Rurumo's Mars Hydro FC6500 grow journal

very nice canopy managment and plants. regarding soil mixes/cocos i just encounter the oposite regarding deficiencies, having usually more work to get it dialed in in cocos then in the soil mix.

    Water For Soaking Seeds

not saying that a very few ppm chlorine are killing a plant but. "Chlorine and chloride are different from one another. Even though chloride is derived from chlorine, they cannot be compared for similarities or used in place of the other. Therefore it is important to know the difference between...

    cant get off 20c

in the end what do i know, my temps are also more like 23 not 20. there is a relation for sure, as you describe, but i still think one can make even lower temps work, see moflows grow there, hes below 20. maybe your mix lacking a bit Mg? honestly, no problem using epsom salt in your coots mix...

Which Lighting for that small tent.

there are basically just these 2 driver options avaiable. they mostly sell 42v drivers there and to what i see all their boards are made to be run with a 42V driver. 50W max isnt a problem either for this usecase, its really fine. simply ask the guys at led tech, you will be good. just seeing...

Which Lighting for that small tent.

yeah, it can be a bit confusing at first. ive checked what they have. for their 75W elg driver the 1.4A is the only option, its 27 ~ 54V and as far i see your panels want about 37V, so that would be fine. they also have a elg 100w 42V driver for 35€, that would also work. the 75W AB driver...
