Why is it that when a hash company puts out several batches from different plants...

...for sale, the test results are almost always within a very narrow range? I've been noticing this more and more on recreational websites' menus. It bugs me. I'm looking at a page right now with 14 different kinds of rosin from one manufacturer and most all the tests are within 1% of each...

    Which strain you like most

Wow! Since I posted on this thread a lot of strain favorites have come and gone! It's almost silly to even try and break down just what the strains are anymore because the hybrid lineage is so deep...everything is everything else! But I got over the Gorilla Glue #4 phase for awhile. I found some...

    Area 51 - SGS160 - pair

Yep. It was a hard lesson to learn, but, when you buy this year's grow light, it will be old come next year. But, if you buy last year's light, then it will be ancient and only light historians will be interested in it. I have a few of those kinds of lights. But, hey, look at it this way: When...

HLG vs HGL Side By Side Take 2

I was going to try and do a run under those yellow fluorescent bug lights like they used to use in drive-ins...and maybe throw in some black lights and a xenon strobe light (remember those?) heh heh.....but ....it was just a thought. ;)

    Anyone ever see this?

Ok, I see that now. Sorry. My mistake. That's EXTRA cool! I've NEVER seen that!

    Anyone ever see this?

Yep. I've had that happen, too. Unfortunately, only one of the two sprouts survived when it came down to competition for root space...I guess. Anyway, that's really cool. I hope yours both survive.

    Buying a press. Please help!

You CAN adapt the press to work with a compressor. I personally haven't done that. The hand pump that comes with the press is very high quality and easy to use. A compressor is overkill, in my opinion....and they are LOUD!

    Buying a press. Please help!

Yep...All you need is the Low Temp Plates set (make sure you get the set -with the heater and not just the plates by themselves)... ...and the press. Like I say, I spent the extra money for the Dake brand name, but I'm sure there are presses that would work just as well for a lot less money...

    Buying a press. Please help!

My setup cost me about a thou. Low Temp Plates 3 X 5 caged ~$400-500 (depending if on sale or not) Dake 10 ton press ~$400 Parchment paper, mesh bags, jars, etc. If you know what you're doing and have the time, there are tutorials for making your own plates, heaters and all that.....but too...

HLG vs HGL Side By Side

Not to argue, but I don't grow for respect. I do pretty well most of the time. I've tried all kinds of lights over the years. I grow all kinds of other plants, too, and I enjoy the process of growing plants, in general. One time, I grew an heirloom tomato that weighed almost 4 pounds! It was...

HLG vs HGL Side By Side

Agreed. I personally have never used a 1000 watt fixture for that very reason. I usually use ~400 watts for my grows. As far as freshness, I have had great success with vacuum sealed glass jars in the fridge. For lifestyle reasons, I only have a once-per-year grow option.
