Bridgelux EB gen 2 480W grow

They're in roughly 8-9 gallon pots made of landscaping cloth. Not sure how much to growth and yield to expect from them, so I don't know if I should try moving them to more soil once they don't hold moisture for long or if these pots will be fine. I'm holding some bloom boost in reserve to see...

Bridgelux EB gen 2 480W grow

So a flood soaked a Tupperware full of "oops my plant got pollinated by someone else" seeds and so the race was on to do something with them. I sprouted them all and immediately started tossing out rejects or anything that struggled in any way. Got rid of anything that didn't show clear female...

    Light Setup - 4x4 w/ 4 plants, COB LED (Luminus CXM-32)

It is certainly a steep curve to start but it levels out. The cheapest, easiest and most effective setup, by far, is the Bridgelux EB strips in a 3500k colour. I have 12 of the 560mm hooked in series to a meanwell HLG-240H-C1050A. Works well. You can either run angle aluminum perpendicular to...

    COBs not running as intended

So I'm not an idiot but I am new to electric circuits. I setup 10 luminus cxm-9 (32-37V, 320-640ma, 12-20W) in parallel on a 150W hlg-150h-36A. (32-40V max 4.2A) . I split them into two groups of 5 and put them on two 4" x 48" pieces of 1/8" aluminum, with 3C/mK thermal grease. A theoretical...

    Too much abuse? Yield loss?

Sry, forgot to turn off the lights, 3500k spectrum makes them look a little washed out. Very healthy and dark green in other lighting.

    Too much abuse? Yield loss?

Ph is fine. Growing in a diy organic soil. The new growth showed yellowing in the veins and deformation, which points to sulfur deficiency. Not to mention I've been using an organic ProMix water in nutrient that has pretty much everything except sulfur. Supplemented with some calcium sulfate...

    Too much abuse? Yield loss?

I started some mixed seed and worked my way down to some winners. However, they haven't had a great go of it. They were sulfur and phosphorous deficient for the first month and I didn't figure it out until I put the higher power veg lights on them. I also put those lights too close and stressed...

Hazardous running 12 EB strips in series? ~240v

Heatsinking was disproportionate. I was using U channel and didn't leave enough length on the ends for the first and last cob.

Hazardous running 12 EB strips in series? ~240v

I'm all set up now and it's no extra hassle being in series. I'm liberal with my foliar sprays and I haven't had any issues. I setup someone else with mini cobs in parallel and they ran away thermally. So I'm a series fan now. Ya I didnt have any experience with wire gauge at the time and was...

Beaver soil, random seeds, eclectic lighting and trace minerals. A pot adventure.

There's been some white mold on the dirt but I keep it worked over. Been referencing this chart for humidity and temperature.

Pics of effects before trace minerals and phosphorous addition.

Beaver soil, random seeds, eclectic lighting and trace minerals. A pot adventure.

Topped them a few days ago at 6 inches and three nodes high. Now that I read about mainlining I wanna do that but instead I think I'll trellis and lollipop them since they look a bit beyond mainlining.

Beaver soil, random seeds, eclectic lighting and trace minerals. A pot adventure.

I thought it looked pale green so I got that organic nutrient mix that had a boost if nitrogen as well as trace minerals.

Beaver soil, random seeds, eclectic lighting and trace minerals. A pot adventure.

So I never grew a pot plant before and hardly ever grew anything else either. A friend handed me a bunch of seed from an outdoor sativa that he said grew very well with nothing but good soil and molasses water. I tried his weed and I was sold. Decided to start them inside since it's cold here...

    Veg light upgrade question

What I learned about the impact of infrared in regards to the Emerson effect is that it is only useful as a small percentage of the light. So something that measures that range of wave lengths will have to single out that wave length and then calculate its percentage of the whole and negate any...

    Veg light upgrade question

Ssu sounds dumb. It includes all infrared as part of its measurement. Only so much is needed to achieve the Emerson effect
