    LED and Calmag issues.

Most of the scientific papers that I read are not in English, so I guess not very helpful for you. But in this paper of Michigan State University you can read it as well. But I am not saying that a higher VPD for cannabis is not the right thing to do. I just wonder where they base these higher...

    LED and Calmag issues.

Very interesting post, @Impregnant This whole VPD thing with cannabis is also what I am struggling with. For example you tell that you have a low VPD of 0.8. But in commercial greenhouses they often aim at a VPD of 0.5! 0.8 is ok for them, but they want to stay below 1. Now I know that the...

    DWC res too cold???

What do you mean by this? How could you achieve more DO at a higher temperature?

    DWC res too cold???

I don't know everything. I did not say that. But at least I try to be careful not to become a parrot who repeats everything he heard in the bro-science grapevine.

    DWC res too cold???

68 is not optimal. Optimal is a wide range, because there will be always enough DO. I don't know the exact optimal root temperature for every strain of cannabis, because there is not a lot of research done in that field. But as long as you keep the temperature between 64 and 80, you are ok. 70...

    DWC res too cold???

Of course there will be enough for your plants! At 80 degrees there will be about 8 mg of DO per liter. That is only about 1.2 mg less per liter then at 68 degrees. So first of all, that is not a huge difference. Agree or not? Secondly, the moment the roots absorb some of that DO, their will be...

    DWC res too cold???

Ok, then please explain what you meant with .... Perhaps I misunderstood. But you clearly state that it is not possible that oxygen can be dissolved in water of 80 F.

    Sacrificing temperature for VPD?

Do you check leaf temperature as well?

    DWC res too cold???

OK, I can't fix stupid obviously. Good luck. For the people who like facts, just a short question: If oxygen can not be dissolved in water of 80 degrees (as the great mind Fonzzy claims), how can fish live in it?

    DWC res too cold???

It is clear you just repeat what is written all these years on cannabis forums. OK, let me enlighten you as you refuse to give answers. Nonsense. Roots don't know if there is too little or too much DO in the water. Roots absorb O2 molecules and are not aware if this molecule is coming from a...

    DWC res too cold???

OK, then answer some questions: What is the difference in the amount of DO in water of 68 degrees and of 77 degrees? Why don't you give your plants water of 55 degrees? How much O2 do roots absorb per hour? How much DO can a rez or DWC tote contain? What are the ideal temperatures for roots...

    DWC res too cold???

You are not right (which is something else then wrong) But there have been numerous science based posts about this, that I will not answer it. The word 'science' is totally misplaced here. Bro-science, yes.

Waterfall and flooming for example. They produce less heat and you have less pH swings.

    DWC res too cold???

There are more ways, and perhaps using an airstone is not the best way.

    Flush or no Flush

Use the search button and fill in 'Flush'. You will be even more puzzled then you already are.

    Lockdowns work.

I do want to interfere in a discussion about lockdowns. But if you do argue at least get your facts right. The Netherlands is not and was never a Scandinavian country. Also the Netherlands never had a king who was catholic. So if you are mocking somebody about doing research, first do your own...

    DWC res too cold???

Did you read his whole post? I wonder how DWC without an airstone looks. Kratky?

Cloner with waterfalls or flooming... Anyone uses them?

I know how getting DO in your water works. But I am curious who actually did it. And what their experiences are.

Cloner with waterfalls or flooming... Anyone uses them?

There are beautiful cloners in use by hydro growers. Often DIY and often with sprayers, airstones or venturi. But are there also growers who use a cloner with waterfalls or the principal of flooming?
