I am doing DWC and using hydroton as my medium. My water quality has very little ppm out of the tap... About 30ppm (on the 500 scale).

Are you using 7 grams per liter from start to finish? Which week do you start the nutrients at?

Also, how easy is it going to be to change out 5 gallon reservoirs with this method...?

Nevermind, just realized the netting would be much higher up than the ground... Is a scrog easy to do for a first timer?

I am doing 4 plants in 5 gallon DWC buckets. I have a 240 gph (15L/minute) air pump with 4 outlets (1 to each bucket). Curious to know if this is big enough... Will have air stones in the buckets.

I'm getting ready to move 4 seedlings into my 3x3x6 tent. I was planning on just using my new light (HGL 300L) for the entire grow and nothing else. Starting to wonder if it would be worth it to add my Spider Farm SF1000 as well. Or would that be overkill at that point for 4 plants?

I hear ya. I have a small setup and not in a friendly state. Just wanting to do 2 plants... I have everything setup and ready to go for DWC....but have read over the last couple of days that it's not "as good" as rdwc according to some folks.

So a 5 gallon bucket even would be a big enough res you think? What is the reason for a square bucket over a round bucket? Just easier to install the fittings on? Also, the only reason I was going with a res is because that's what makes its a rdwc and not a dwc right? If it was just 2 plants...
