There is no holder. That is the cob. Im sure its fine. Just dont submerge it in water. Fyi u can run 5 V10s off that driver.

Any luck? Ive been waiting over a month. Got it welded and will attach V10s and just power 5 for now as only have one driver.

    fan speed control

Also I don't think the signal that goes thru the speed controller actually powers fan because it works when controller is removed and circuit is open. Fan then defaults to 100%. Assuming this is true is why I think this fan could be really easy to control the speed.

    fan speed control

Ya, I am sure there is a perfect way to do it but I do not have the skills. It may just be adjusting a voltage but without an oscilloscope I am not sure how the speed controller works. @ $23 for another speed controller I will just start with dual speed controllers set up to switch with the...

    fan speed control

I need to design something to ajust fan speed with temps on hyper fan. I feel it will be fairly simple as it already has the speed controller but not finding any info yet on how that controller works. Possibly just need do build something that will ajust a 5v or 12v signal based on voltage but...

Ya, I was bored and figured I would make sure I like the design before welding. Plus I couldn't visualize what to do with what I had left so made it easy. I know the basics but it is so easy to use these days. Wish I had used it for my huge light. But this should be a cute little light...

I just hooked mine up at 5v and they are silent. Run a lil hotter but not too hot to touch so they are fine. But that is cool. So I've got ten V10s left and ten 2.08x10in heatsinks so figure I will make this lil fixture welded together so it will be easy to raise and lower: My only issue...

5g should be enough but I ran out after 8 CXA3070s and 30 vero10s but I also probably put too much on at times. Dont make too big of a batch so it wont harden before you use it all and you wont waste any.

I used it when it was too cold and it still worked but ideally use at like 70 deg. I also ran out of one of the parts at the end as the bottom last bit was dried in one of the tubes so I had uneven mix but it still worked, but I would make sure you have enough if you are doing a lot of COBs.

I used arctic alumina thermal adhesive. It spreads well and is thin enough it will spread when you apply pressure to COB when putting on heatsink to allow a good bond. I also used a razor to but a couple light scored in heatsink to ensure it would bond.

Grainger ship to store is cheap or McMasterCar if no Grainger near shipping is like $5 or so. I bought a drill bit too but 3/32 is very close and worked also. http://www.grainger.com/search?nls=1&searchQuery=4-40+thread+cutting+screws http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/121/2983/=w326nn

Ya, the cobs clearly work. The plants are big. Too big. Ya, the cobs clearly work. My first grow so still learning. Thanks. It works im sure, read all the reviews for computers. Im sure it will be fine. I just dont like it for cobs but most people do. I found it too thick to work with so...

I also want to say again that I wish I had stuck with using thermal adhesive and will be using that from now on. It works and it is easy. Putting PK-3 on thick and pressing to spread did not work. It gave me air gaps and thin idk how well it worked cause these surfaces are not flat. I only got...

I used oil. Drilled thru so wasn't a blind hole. Should have gotten shorter screws.. I got ancy and tried to do one without backing it out and cleaning tap and snapped it when i went to back it out. Obv peice of aluminum caught thread. My fault. Was just taking too long as had 30 holes to tap...

I broke my tap so went with the self tappers. just be sure to oil as I forgot to on one and snapped screw. My build was so full of fail it took way longer than planned. Room almost done finally but now have plants that are too tall cause light took so long to finish. Need to bend down before...

Should I max out my HLG-185H-C1400A or back it off 1-5%? Does it matter? I have 7 of them on 21 COBs for reference (3 vero 29s each on four and 1 vero 29 and two cxa3070s on three). I won't be able to adjust so even though I would like to ramp them up over a few days it will just be too much of...
