your ph needs too be maintained at constant number 6 with or without nutes also need to check the soil's ph as well kinda think you have a ph problem cause those are def ph spotting bad and it wont get better till you stabilize the ph no more nutes there locked out once the ph is stabilized...

Any white or skunk strain high THC good yeild, and easy to grow IMO :) and some good strains are geneticly going to produce a few seeds a plant when not fertilized...and all are female and don't have the hermie problem but its got to be the real deal not some bull shit

Now your getting the right Idea! clone/root/bud they will veg for a week or two under 12/12 anyway because there small I hit mine with some nutes right before I throw them in seems to delay flowering switch to bloom nutes 3-4 weeks in but you should root clones under at least 16/8 or 24 light...

tap water usually has enough of both even bottled water has some added for flavor if your plants aren't def in any way I'd hit with mild balanced fert 5-1-1 you'll need some nitrogen when they transition but not to much...bloom nutes are ment for the last month of flowering IMO and don't contain...

I been using large styrofoam shipping containers they are 4" thick used for shipping animal/reptiles and really quiet down the fans just use a knife and cut a hole for your intake/exaust and they square and they stack nice in a corner or whatever I'm sure you can get them free at the pet...

get some fish emulsion and give them girls some real food watch using chemical nutes go crazy with the fish stuff nitrogen will perk them up

thats alot of stuff to tend to but everyone needs a hobbie....you'll like hydro saves money and trouble of buying medium all the time...and since your exp with soil hydro will produce quicker if not larger yeilds and better use of space...and to answer someones question yes airoponics is better...
