I have that same problem. I use a lot of perlite and when my soils worn out I use it to patch holes etc. Even after grass grows over it you can still see the stuff. Outstanding looking growth BTW. I cant imagine getting out of the gate any nicer looking.

Actually fella something like that would be a nice start. You can even use a few CFL's early on till they get goin. A 400 conversion would do ya just nice. Do you really need the tent ? I assume you want the blower to move air out of the growspace ? Otherwise one of them little 6 inch clip fans...

They might well be heavy feeders but if you are new to all this, go awful easy on the nutes and give your plants a chance.

Is your light bulb one of those open wing type things ? Or is it at least glass covered ? Big difference sometimes in results.
