yeah raise it up a bit and get a fan blowing inbetween the lights and plants. i had same issue when mine where about the same size are yours. lights can be close but back it off a bit. let hte plant reach a bit.

yes that will work. my roommate does the same line of work as well so we have an abundance of t5, t8, MH lights sitting around. and a RO water unit. its nice. just get the right spectrum bulbs for it.

they are fairly easy to make. I took 5" circle hvac ducting that is split down the middle and bent it out into a half circle. then you can ziptie 2 power strips inside and then viola fixture. get some plug socket to bulb connector. then get some Y connectors and you can mount up to 2 or 4...

my CFL grow is going awesome as well. the more bulbs and watts the bigger and better outcome. this big one i got going is bushy as hell and only on day 24 right there. 10 - 23w CFLs . pushing 7 nodes already.
