We wanted to try something new and not commercially offered. Being listed as a potential medical strain helped as well, as we are currently harboring hopes of a MMJ act w/in the next 5 yrs.

After years of stating that we would never follow in the footsteps of our parents, my wife and I broke down and have started growing herb. We avoided doing this as we never wanted to be a part of our respective family businesses, but alas, we got tired of the sub-standard smoke being offered...

I could be wrong, but my guess would be a foreign seed made its way into your grow area. You can always let it grow out and see what comes to pass.

    Flushing before cloning

Which makes sense to me. I couldn't think of a reason why you'd starve a plant, cause it trauma, then continue to starve it while waiting for it to root. But... I am certainly no expert, so I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. +rep and ty

    Flushing before cloning

I have seen several mentions on here to flushing your plants before cloning. Having read several guides on the subject w/o seeing any refference to this practice, I have some questions. 1.) Is this a necessary step? 2.) What is bennificial about this process? 3.) If flushing is necessary, how...

Actually all of those ideas would cost us a fortune. Nuclear weapons proliferation would cost us billions more. Not to mention the fact that you can't actually use a nuclear device w/o provoking a potentially terminal situation for those of us who live here. We live in a global community now. No...

what can I do about soft water?

22 gal wouldn't be too aweful. Four 5 gal. buckets won't wear you out to fast. I only go once a week because I alternate between cleaning my veg res and flowering res so I don't have to do them both at once. IMO water qualty is crucial.

what can I do about soft water?

there's no cheap method of getting around your problem. I buy distilled from the local grocery store. $0.33/gal. I load up a couple of 5 gal. buckets w/ lids and head out once a week. If you're needing more than 10-20 gal at a time you might as well just buy the R/O.

I think it is far to early to make an informed decision on that topic, as the the question is far to generalized to comment on at this time. Even Bush had his strong points and successes despite his lack of eloquence, and perceived deficit of intelligence. In the end, history is dictated...
