Never! Seriously - the leaves are what the plant uses to grow your buds, and pulling them off, will not only remove some of those plant engines/storehouses - but actually redivert energy into growing new leaves! Look at the bottom of your plant - every time it loses a leaf, a new one starts...
Depends on when you top it I guess - I top mine when they are between four to five nodes high - usually around three weeks old, for me, and it's definately not 75% of the plant - maybe a quarter. They respond within 24 hours, and it doesn't really take much time off - I veg for 8 weeks anyway.
Yeah, I know what you meant - but I grow perpetual, and there are already more plants in my flowering room, too tall to put the bottoms back in there even if I had the space under the lights. Which is to say - there are another 11 girls flowering under my lights right now, and I can't take room...
Nope that's great, if you've got the space, go for it. I can't do mine that way, just no room under the lights. I plan on getting a 400w in the future dedicated to just that. The only thing to watch for (not the case in your current grow) in the future, would be, sometimes a plant will mature...
Yeah I've noticed in my own grows, that's usually when you gain most of your weight. They will pack on a little in the final weeks, but mostly what they'll do, is swell with resin - your calyxs (spelling) will fatten, giving the buds a more "plump" look.
I use it during veg, from the first time I water my seedlings. It's definately proven to me, to grow a better root system with, than without. I also don't use it in flower, it does delay flowering. (Did it to my second grow).
None of this is true. Bagseed is not a different "substrain". Maturity has nothing to do with it being bagseed, either - the reason it's looked down apon, is because any seed out of your bag, stands a very good chance of being a hermie. Not to mention, different strains require different levels...
Yep, the time given, is after you switch, When you switch, is entirely up to you - and your given space. Keep in mind, she will stretch to twice, or even three times, her height, once into flower.:leaf:
It's pretty hard to mess up topping, lol. Cut off the top of your plant - bam, it's topped! The only advice I would give, is to read Uncle Ben's thread on it, if you haven't already. It's stickied in the Advanced section. I use his method, always get four main colas. I love it! Great read.
I've noticed this in my plants, usually around six weeks of age (veg). I solve it by giving them what I call a flush-n-feed - basically flush them, and give their normal nutes in the last half gallon or so. Should see growth pick up again after that.
That's hillarious, and it pisses me off at the same time - I've had banks do that shit to me. Go Granny go! Hope I'm still that spicy when I reach that age!
