I planted straight into FFOF w/20% perlite. It was a tad too much for my autos, but it didn't do any permanent damage.

I have a small grow box (2x2.5x5') with a carbon activated forced exhaust system that has two plants in it with different timings. It appears that one of them will be ready a full 2-3 weeks before the other. This creates a problem because I have to be able to dry one, preferably in the dark...

What is ambient humidity? If ambient is already 60+ then you need a change in your environment.

I got the 70 pint model for almost the exact same situation. It works and I would recommend it. At worst you have to empty it ever 12 hours (hot, humid, continuous setting), but I've gotten to the point where I can wait two days before doing maintenance (cooler, dryer, keeps my space at 50%...

What do you see that would lead you to ask that? I haven't noticed any balls and these pictures aren't the best. After my flush a couple of weeks ago I am making sure to get enough runoff while watering now. I cut down on my nutes... only time will tell.

I have been pretty careful, I load water in with 1-pint snapple bottles (mixed from a gallon jug). I could see some damage, but not at this level. I'll make sure and be more careful when watering as well, just to be sure, thanks for the tip.

For an experienced smoked who doesn't want to get completely wrecked, I tend to recommend 25-50 mg. For me, 25 mg is the threshold and 50 is a solid dose. I have taken 120mg and that was an interesting experience. No ill-effects if you're an experienced smoker and can handle being "too high"...

Thank you very much for your input sunny (as well as 70s and OD, forgot to say that before). I'll wait to LST this weekend and flush for my next watering, your comment about runoff and salts makes sense. I should be flushing more than is average considering I don't allow for significant runoff.

Thank you very much for that article, I had heard about the 1" 'trick' but the fact that this one says 1" for every gallon makes me think I've been significantly over-watering. I'll give these two a couple of extra days between watering this go-around.
