Yep Superthrive can be given every watering, at a drop per gallon. Also you can get Grandma's Unsulphered Molassas from Wal-Mart - by the pancake syrup. Use that at one TBSP per gallon, every other watering. Lastly, I don't have a lot of choices locally for my nutes, so I use MG All Purpose...

I would also recommend watering from the top. Leaving them sit in water too long, can lead to root rot.

Don't cut your fan leaves - they are your plant's solar panels/food pantries. As it happens, light actually penetrates through these leaves - but if you are really worried, you can gently tuck the leaf under the branch out of the way, or, make a slit in the middle of it and move the two halves...

No, I use Scott's Potting Soil from Home Depot, but I add extra Perlite, because I wasn't happy with the amount that comes in the soil - wanted extra drainage.

The three of them together, is enough for you to veg one plant. Keep the smaller ones a couple inches from your plant, and the 42W about four or five inches from it. You will need more, and in the 2700K range, to flower, though.:peace:

That light will work for a couple weeks, but then you'll need more. If your budget is limited - you can try CFL's. You want a minimum of 3000 lumens per square foot for growing, 5000 lumens per square foot recommended. Whatever light you choose - remember you want the 6500K color for vegging...

Here, here's a pic of my second grow - you can see how close I have the lights - 4' fluoros. In some cases you can see the plants are right up touching the light. (Do NOT let them touch unless you can comfortably touch the bulb with your bare hand).
