actually bud the light you have is really only helpfull during flowering... you can use it yes... but what you wanna do is go to like walmart and get a 2 pack of "daylight cfl" they burn at what 6500k off hand.... you can get a 2 pack at my local walmart 26 watts for under 7$ .... btw it's...
