Maybe your pH isn't right, try and keep it around 5.8, if it's not right, the plant won't be able to use the nutrients that you're giving it...

You probably should've introduced that 400 watt earlier...I wouldn't worry too much about the bottom parts, but if you want them to produce, then you'd need to add some side lighting, maybe a few cfl's... SLB
