Yeah you can use hps bulbs the whole way through. As far as flowering..if the plant seems ok and starts putting out new growth Id go ahead and switch to flower. I havent used cfls before but I think you wanna keep the plants fairly compact since the light doesnt penetrate very far with them.

You were using an oz per gallon..really? Its really concentrated. When I used it, it was at the max recommended amount @ 1ml per gallon..and that dropped the ph some. An oz per gallon would be 30ml, or 30x the rec amount.

Well..how big is the plant. If it is a sizable plant than you will probably want to transplant. If you just planted recently and plan on flowering it small than the same pot would most likely be ok.

I didnt think hollow stems were a big deal,from what Ive seen almost all marijuana plants from seed have some hollow stems to begin with. It goes away once youre just using clones of the strain. Ive yet to see clones with hollow stems. I mean clones taken from a clone mother not a seed plant.
