Well I would think they dont need any nutrients yet... But test the soil.. Buy some tablets from lowes or homedepot.. its real easy to test, just poor the soil in the tube it comes with... add water throw in the tablet, shake and get results. these tablets test all 3 NPK nutrients in your...

My True OG kush plant, blades are upworth of some sort... can't really explain it, I put a pic. Don't know if you can tell but I put a piece of red paper on one of the leaves to show how the blades are... they look like they want to roll but am 100% sure thats not the case... Tested the Soil NPK...

Yes fem seeds are worth it.. Theres always a 50/50 chances in a 10 bag seed that females will come out.. so why take the chance, just buy the 5 seeds... you buy 10 regular seeds chances are there going to be more males then females. but if you can get some clones that would be better :)
