I grow in DWC's... no such thing as a booster seat, without even more work... Simply not worth it, I dont mind waiting for the next harvest. I use to do both- but my harvests were much smaller. -even when I was in soil and using "booster seats" still didnt get the light distribution i wanted.

That should work fine, I use a hanna pH tds ec combo meter. If you dont have a pH meter you need one... especially in hydro... the combo meter is perfect. 130 or so on Ebay, 200 at most stores. So your 32 dollar solution is perfect if you already have a pH meter. Or you could just buy both.
