Yeah, thats the way to go... exactly what I do.. start with T's and switch to HPS .. but for veg and mothers nothing better than T's IMO.. As for Lumen I believe a fluorescent is constant all the way .... Happy growing..bongsmilie

Yes yes yes on T's... I use T5 & 12's and love them... cooler than CFL and low power usage....... I just got T's and HPS but I was surprised with the T's.
