its fine for surfing but i personally don't recommend it for the everyday user that is not familiar with CLI and the directory structure.

i recommend getting whatever is cheap and does what you need it to. my previous laptop was 600$ and i was able to get by with it! lol, here's the new 17 inch macbook using the old 15in as a computer stand.
