New Zealand outdoor thread 2013/14 (all kiwis post!)

Yeah you can buy them on trademe for around $500, I'd just love having outdoor plants not being rained on at all. Only had a little Taskenti outside but seemed to be pretty mild undisturbed and would be less pungent as the Panama that's for sure lol, keep those suckers away from any tracks or...

    Open Show & Tell , Outdoors 2014

Hi everyone, just a little update of the Malawi. only getting mid 60's through the day and mid 40's-50 overnight. Probably harvest next wednesday or when the weather turns bad. Everyone's plants are looking awesome too.

    Newbie(Old guy) needs advise

You can either leave the male alive to pollinate your female plant or collect the pollen inside(put it near a window) so it doesn't pollinate the whole plant and you can just use a single branch for seeds. Na definitely don't smoke anything from a male plant, no way near enough thc content to...

Help me fight the spider webs!

Do you have spots on the fan leaves? have a look at the buds through a 40-60x scope to see if there's any spidermites or shit they've left behind - if so just hash all the buds so it doesn't go to waste. Spider mite bud absolutely sucks, tastes horrible and you're smoking their waste! you can...

    Clones from indoor to out

Yeah any pre flowered clones should be replaced, I like to use 16/8 light cycle if planting November(May for you) so they don't go into flower as I've learnt that painful lesson the hard way. Lol they grew a foot in 2 months a couple years ago because of early preflower.

New Zealand outdoor thread 2013/14 (all kiwis post!)

I'd get a greenhouse if I didn't have neighbours behind me(high up and can see my lawn) and grow stealth sativas like Malawi that don't smell too much. Panama on the other hand is quite skunky for a pure sativa. Shit that's pretty good, dunno if Ace ships to NZ? definitely on my to grow list. We...

    Any good?

I might do a few testers this next season with some bag seeds, see how long they can last in an obvious place. Weed isn't actually that easy to spot out unless you're looking for it. I've been walking along a track and didn't notice some little plants until I bent down and tied my shoe lace.

LED produces very very little heat, keep it as close as you can with a good light distribution as well, so not too close but not far away like a HPS(12"). Seedlings don't seem to elongate or go spindly if far away from the led lights(12"+), different story with CLFs. CLFs can be almost touching...

    Any good?

We only have like 10 hours of sun at the moment bro, we get 14.45 hours on the solstice so those direct hours will change later in the year and the sun sits higher in the sky too. You'll be amazed at what you can get away with, putting plants in obvious places is good sometimes right under...

    ChickenPoop 2014

Why are water crystals a big mistake? I've always used them and never had problems and never watered my plants because of them. I only use a little amount per plant just to keep a hospitable environment in case of a drought. Never watered and never will(guerilla anyway).

    leaf color question

Shouldn't your plant be vegging? it's nearly summer over there?. like others have said it could be genetics or cold, although some don't turn purple from cold as my plants outside now aren't turning purple(S. hemisphere).

New Zealand outdoor thread 2013/14 (all kiwis post!)

Yeah I'm keen for a happy high, sick of these heavy indica like highs. I've got some Orient Express vegging that's supposed to be a clear up happy high. I had a Blue Hash from dinafem that was definitely a blueberry smell with hash undertones but the Blue og was purely a kush. Was the Kushberry...

Yeah a greenhouse is by far the best way to grow ganja, indoor conditions with the beast of a light in the sky. Bangi Haze is pretty racy apparently, not surprised because it has congo genetics. Bushweed and Kangativa have grown some of the most impressive outdoor plants I've seen, some trippy...

NZ Out door timing soil and nutes help?

If heights not an issue grow some mad sativas man  What region/city will you be growing in? it all depends on the weather - this damn climate is too hard to predict. One extreme to the next. Just order some while you're over here and make sure it's stealth. Could probably put some...

Yeah i think so TWS, not too sure on how many weeks left and I've lost my scope. Probably harvest when day temps go under 18 degrees.

Grow on his land if he lets you, spot plant in gorse or annoying/tight bush to get through and scatter your plants. If you're worried about watering, use rain crystals. Choppers aren't going to stop for 1 or 2 plants; just make sure they're not exposed and hidden in nice little pockets of land...
