Looking at my babies this afternoon and I know they have only been sprouting out of the soil for a few days but a couple of them have sharp bends towards the setting sun. Like near 90 degree angles, only 2 out of 10 are doing this... Does anybody know of a reason why they would be doing this...

Are you keeping the seeds toasty warm while damp in the paper towel, I have 100% success with multiple layers of paper towel made wet and placed in a plastic bag with a little air in it kept 8 to 10 inches under a 60w light, keeps the seeds damp and warm but never hot... Never tried Holy Smokes...

You could always try to get your friend to price match? and if your friend can't explain that you're going to be getting it cheaper from somewhere else... It's probably not the friendliest thing in the world to do, but if the person is your friend you should be open and honest about it... but...
