Use a mix of colors... you want to use 6 x 2700k cfls, the highest wattage you can afford, ideally 42w, but the 26w will do(i use those) and int the other 2 sockets put 2 x Daylight 6500k cfls(again of the highest wattage you can find) that way youll get a more 'natural' light to them..( because...

ideally if you arent sure of the sex, i'd move it to another room til it shows.. males start flowering earlier, so theyre ready to drop the pollen when the females finally get their hairs..but depending on your growing conditions etc that could be a little or a long time...so best move it before...

you want a MINIMUM of 4 'daylight' CFLs 20watt with a color rating of 6500k plus 2 warm white CFLs 20watt with a 2700k Rating for Veg... that would be fine for vegging 2 plants as they will share the bulbs output. For flowering you want to Swap the 4 Daylight CFLs for 4 warm white 25w 2700k...
