Is the screen attached to her pot or the box? Just wondering, because if it's attached to the box you won't be able to move her or check every side of her as easily. I prefer LST'ing. It it more labor intensive but you have more flexibility. Then again, maybe you can change my mind about it :)

Mr and Mrs Riffix' Cali Hashplant Grow

When you transplant you usually wait until the roots are pretty thick. By that point they are already all tangled and turning in on the root ball. By starting in the big pots they never go through that so the roots spread out perfectly.

I bet they get a good growth spurt in the next few days. Once they leave the seedling stage they will start moving right along.

    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

Okay, I was wrong about the heat not affecting them. Tia keeps drying out and drooping. Juliana on the other hand seems to love it. She isn't showing any signs of heat stress. I did touch their stems and they feel very warm. My house is staying around 75-78 all the time so the box is around...

So they are about 2 weeks from sprouting right? How big are they now? Mine went kinda slow the first 2 weeks and then they took off. May just be genetics. I wouldn't ditch them just yet, you never know if you might get something special. It always seems the best weed is also the worst yielder...

Mr and Mrs Riffix' Cali Hashplant Grow

I started my plants in large pots and they are doing fine. I haven't transplanted them once. It can be dificult when they are small though because water will just stay at the bottom of the pot until the roots grow down so you can't really go by weight.

Plus you want the spiders to be there to help with the bugs too :) Although they freak me out too.

Actually, just take a plastic jug of carbon and poke a whole bunch of holes in the bottom and around the lower sides. Then put pantyhose over it. Boom, instant carbon filter. Just make sure you poke enough holes for good air flow.

Cali outdoor SLHaze, Bubba Kush, AK-47, and Red Dragon.

Don't assume they are under-fed because the bottom leaves are yellowing and falling off. This may be normal for your strain. Not all strains will stay a deep green the entire grow. I've been pulling off dead leaves from my girls under the canopy. I think it's normal, besides those leaves aren't...

Hey CS, you can easily make a carbon filter for around $20. Do a search for it here. I found at least ten threads a couple months ago all giving details on how to build carbon filters. All different types too. Mine is made out of ducting pieces, chicken wire, panty hose, and a large rubber end...

Mr and Mrs RiffiX' Anywhere Garden

Oh my god I had a venus fly trap about 20 years ago. We use to feed it hamburger and every once in a while a house fly would find its way into the kitchen and it would have a true meal. I need to get some. My yard is swarming with insects. If they like it moist I'm guessing they prefer the...

Chainseeker is correct. Starting off CFL's are great. HPS can easily be too hot for a seedling, but they look good so I think you have it under control. Good luck with everything. Can't wait to see how some of these turn out.

    Newbie Master Kush Crop

If she is shaded you can always let her go a few weeks longer after you chop her big sister. She may end up being small or maybe she'll get stretchy and poke out the side. When are you going to flower? I'm assuming the sooner the better it will be for the roots. Although they may be part of the...

    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

I guess I should mention that the heat isn't really affecting the girls. The air being pulled up is cooling them and the lights are far enough away that the radiant heat doesn't hit them. So heat isn't a problem yet. Although the cola buds may end up kind fluffy once they enter the hot zone...

    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

Oh and if Tia turns out to be a boy, which I'm still hoping isn't the case, I'm going to trim her up while still in the pot to show how I LST'ed her.

    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

Damn, I wrote out this long post that was really well written and funny and lost the whole thing. Anyways, just want to say thanks for the input guys. I'll try that 80/20 ratio. It sounds about right. Chainseeker you might want more than just two 26w bulbs for supplemental lighting. I'd put in...

    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

It looks like Tia is forming balls. It's not definite yet but I pretty sure. So it looks like Juliana will have plenty of room. I'm going to wait until I'm positive before cutting down Tia though. Chainseeker, I know they prefer a lower temp bulb in flowering but I have heard many people say it...

    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

I may also take out one of the 42w's and put in a 26w to see if that does anything. It's hard to tell though because my house temps fluctuate throughout the day. Also should I keep that one 6500k cfl in there or replace it with a 2700k? I thought a wide spectrum would be good. Any input?

    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

Temps are all reading 95-100. That is only in the top 5 inches or so however. Down at the canopy it is cool, the pots are cool, and the box is cool around there. So the radiant heat is only reaching so far. With the fan as strong as it is I don't think there is any worry of circulating hot air...
