    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

The girls are doing great. I lowered them inside the box. Looks like I'll need to get an AC unit. Box temps were 95-100 when I checked on them a minute ago, but when I lifted the lid and felt the girls they were cool to the touch. I rotated them both 180 degrees to expose new areas to different...

    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

Well it is day 2 of flowering and the girls are doing great. Juliana is growing but the stretching has been minimal so far. Tia on the other had is growing out of control. She is really stretching out, but I am keeping her in check with tie downs. I fed them the compost tea I made yesterday and...

    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

OK, I decided that I was going to go ahead and start flowering. If Tia ends up being a girl I will move both or one of them into the other box, and if she is a boy Juliana will stay in the barrel by herself. This will also give me the opportunity to start some new seeds. I kind of screwed up...

Thanks for the feedback. I'll cut out the spots as needed. It will be easy enough.

    Mylar and electricity

I am building a grow box and want to line it with mylar. My plan is to line it smoothly with the mylar and then attach light sockets to the box directly over the mylar. The only problem is that the wires are exposed under the sockets and may touch the mylar. Will this be safe? Will the mylar...

    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

Temps are a huge problem with the tubs. With the high powered fan I have it's not too bad though. I think it's 356 cfm. It's a touch on the loud side though. It has a nice steady hum. The temps in the box are very wild. It can swing 10 degrees in either direction depending on a number of things...

    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

Still not sure about the ball-looking things on Tia. They are shriveling up so either it is following what you said or it is ending the preflower stage. The box I am using is made out of 2 beer tubs. Like the kind people get for cookouts. The new box is going to be made out of 2, 4 gal...

Cfl Grow Box, blue mystic, opinions

Are you talking about the leaves folding up on themselves or cupping? It's probably from heat stress. Do you have a fan blowing on them? That would probably take care of the problem.

    1st CFL grow 8ladies'

Main thing is just be careful about exposing them to light during the dark period, and switch to a high phosphorous fertilizer.

Sorry, can't help you there. I don't really know anything about cloning.

    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

Oh and Don, they are still vegging. Around 5 weeks old they usually show preflowers so you can learn what they are. At the base of the nodes near the top of the plant you will see calyxes or male flowers. It will just be one per node usually. It isn't caused by stress or anything. It's natural.

    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

Well I wanted to post some pics but the forum is buggy right now. I have great news. Juliana is showing preflowers. She is definitely a girl! Still cant tell on Tia. The ball-like things are slightly bigger. They look like a tear drop on a stalk. Like a ball. I'm pretty sure Tia is actually a...

    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

Here are today's photos. Both girls seemed to have another growth spurt. I started the dark period an hour earlier today also. So they are now on a 16/8 schedule.

I don't know. If it's been dried out for a while definitely not. Unless it's something special just toss the plant. It will be a whole lot easier and faster to start fresh.

    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

No signs of sex on Juliana. Maybe I missed the window of preflowers, but I doubt it. Tia has 2 or 3 little, little balls at the 2 nodes right where I FIM'ed her. Other than that nothing. I kind of have a feeling that they are preflowers but someone said they had the same sort of thing and it...

    Grow log TNR(day11) and bagseed(day01)

Fed them some more of the compost tea. They have really taken off. If they both turn out to be female I'm going to have to flower soon. I extended the dark period earlier by 1 hour. Since these photos I have also adjusted all of the tie downs and made a few more, moved the fan down below again...
