my limited experience, and this is with cfl/micro type of grows genetics are a very big deal in yield, i get about 1/3 gram/watt for good breeder type genetics have been growing my own seed for the last 1 1/2 years, those give me about half that yield, they lack the hybrid vigor of some nicer...

if your motivation is energy savings, i don't believe this will help a power supply will consume some energy in converting line power to dc though you can setup a micro grow, which may give you a good crop, but it will be smaller

the simplest thing i can think of is the camo being on the ground and underneath idea is there is some pattern/coloration that would effectively blend with the plants does such a pattern/camo exist? maybe not, probably dependent on the area you're in

he could get some PH drops, quite inexpensive, they would certainly give you a much better idea of where your are as far as being too acid, it's possible but usually it's the hard water with the higher PH that causes problems

a big crop like this is going to be hard to hide, the usual advice is to break up into smaller patches subbing for replies mostly, never know what the devious minds here can come up with i'd guess camo net would probably be about the best thing, with downsides of course wind and a large net are...

nitrogen is the usual culprit in posts, idea is nitrogen may have the form of nitrates and nitrates is what gives gunpowder its zing which does make sense, but i don't know of any good tests that have shown a definitive answer

i see your point about getting pollen all over what you can do is mist her with water, water kills pollen fast, and keeps it from becoming airborne i guess it's not completely risk free, isolate as best you can when making your hash if that's the route you go
