i suppose you can always make some kind of hash i guess the question is whether it's worth it, you said 8 weeks if 8 weeks of flower i''d think it was certainly worth while

    Can anyone help me out.m

if you're seeing male flowers, good chance it has done some damage depends on how quick you were the safest thing is to take it away if you want to try plucking male flowers, well, it can be done but getting every one is very hard since they hide pretty well

why are my leaves curling down?

i'm just finishing out a plant like that, tips curling down my temps were on the cool side, plant seemed overall healthy, a male unfortunately this may not be a problem, but watering won't hurt if you think it's too dry though many growers overwater, one of the more common problems

How much more do Trichomes mature after harvest?

i posted the same question a ways back, and have done my own investigation with one strain that i ran, a NL, the trichomes stayed pretty close to what i saw at harvest that was over the course of a year's worth of curing though i have seen some posts that say otherwise and see changes over time

Flowering Tips/Guides/Ideas CFL Grows n More.

i get pretty nice results in flower with these guys, understand they are small plants, about 1 oz for good grows but that's fine for me, just 3 of these bulbs in a micro grow can produce excellent smoke

Flowering Tips/Guides/Ideas CFL Grows n More.

no tips, just those are the bulbs i use - 26w 1750 lumens 2700k they grow great weed at a great price! the 'big' trick is up close and tight, but that's no secret for cfl growers

Is 12-1 lighting scheme worth it?

what i have seen of this method is for triggering flowering in tough to flower sativa's in the more common hybrids/indica's, i'd think it's a hermie formula

    sterilizing soil

Nullis has a reasonable point about fungus gnats and overkill, if it's just gnats they can be dealt with in other ways and fungus gnats show up in the best dirt from time to time, seen complaints across the spectrum what i like about heat pasteurization is that it takes out all nasties in an...

1 good plant better than 3 little in 2x4 grow box

strains can differ, not all will like a small pot so there's no simple answer, but out of 3 plants, your chances of finding something nice could be better

    sterilizing soil

there's sterilize, and that means kill 'em all then there's pasteurizing, lower temps, and good things live, baddies go away someone mentioned 170/180. those are good temps, i personally go to 200, but it's also a question of size of the soil container, bigger will take longer to heat up

    loophole (weed country)?

not a lawyer, so take this with a grain of salt you get pinched with those plants, they're going to call them c. sativa, and the judge will accept that if you want to go to full trial, i think you could try to introduce it, but the odds are probably not in you favor i'm sure it's been tried in...

A Fool and a Hermie Seed

give the hobby it's due, it's not boring so prepared for a hermie, hoping for a pure female what do i get? a seeming male - arrgh! i suppose i thought a male wasn't impossible from selfed seeds, just thought it was a long shot 4 weeks of 12/12, and it's just been balls, which i trimmed so...

Quick Question : 2500k vs 2700k. How big's the diff for a PC frow, 3 lights, 1 plant.

2500K it is, interesting, like you say it may be a country preference deal my guess with the 2700k being so often recommended is its prevalence in the USA the thing with kelvin is that in fluorescents it's an approximation, if that's the right word a black body emitting surface, such as an...

Quick Question : 2500k vs 2700k. How big's the diff for a PC frow, 3 lights, 1 plant.

as far as i can tell, cfl's with a kelvin less then 2700k are pretty rare, and not too cheap 2500k in principle should be good, but a cheap price is something to be cautious with, often there's a reason why they're cheap

the self fertile male - wtf would that be like?

that's how DJ looked at it, claimed better female ratios using this pollen the 'super' male i was talking about would be the result of the male making seeds, and some of those seeds should be males with a YY chromosome pattern which would make no females, not really super, just a freak of...

the self fertile male - wtf would that be like?

many of us have seen DJ's quote on self fertile males, supposedly desirable traits i'm trying make sense out a seed lot that i have, not really sure what they are any more so if there was self fertile male, what might that have in its genetics? a 'super' male is one possibility, a YY, it would...

    Brown Weed explained

not sure what the OP's weed was, other than the descriptions given but i do recall some Mexican weed way back in the 70's that would occasionally come around not often, very seedy, would have a shiny brown look, good amount of visible buds Michoacan is the best guess from other posts i've read...

    Using CS to pollinate self?

the term is commonly used, not as precise as some others most understand it to be the unwelcome appearance of male flowers on a female

    Using CS to pollinate self?

you're talking about S1, selfed generation 1 and good point on the clone only, if it was easy to 'clone' them by seed, then there probably wouldn't be many clone only strains left i did get a bunch of S1 seeds, hermie trait can be a bitch, but growing out the offspring has been interesting some...

I feel dumb, a genetic hermie polinated my females. Seeking helpful advice! =)

sorry for the rough experience, but that's the way most of us get experience, the rough way misting with plain water takes out pollen quickly, but some more will likely do its damage if there are more male parts and they can be very stealthy, even if you pluck by hand, it's likely a few will be...
