    Dwarf apple tree questions

Sooo, I have a passion for a good apple that almost matches my passion for cannabis. I have done some research on possibly attempting a dwarf tree to keep with my weed, and I ran across a bit of a problem. I found out only certain strains are "self-fruiting" and I don't know which are. If...

2nd Grow: Organic Bagseed CFL Coco Grow

After the first few weeks I'm becoming a firm believer as well.

    Is my light too close?

+Rep thats not a bad idea, if he can take it back that is. Organic nutes really help a grow, plus you could still get a couple 65 watts to replace it, I think that would be around 40 bucks so you'd still have some money to play with.

Looks good to me, do you mean the droop? That could be because of the side lighting, the leaves will face the light.

2nd Grow: Organic Bagseed CFL Coco Grow

Just one of the little ones got a little burned, all of the others are doing great. What do you mean open like a hand? You mean like in those pics, I took them 30 seconds ago just for you. Look pretty damn healthy to me, and they were even topped this afternoon, making a pretty good...

    lighting Questions

When you spread false information you are only hurting people, and I am altogether chill brother. I know I was a stranger, then I learned a lot, earned what little cred I have, and now I'm not. My opinion stands, I would never trust anyone for advice that just signs up for an online forum and...

    Is my light too close?

I opened that link and I think its a typo, they probably meant 2500k. 25000k doesn't make any sense. If its blue though it wouldn't be 2500k, so now I'm confused. 2500k would be a good orange/red light, which is what you need for flowering. If it is blue than it should be a good veg light...

    Is my light too close?

That is actually a perfect option for flowering, 2700k is the perfect color temp, and that is a nice high wattage floro. Looks like you got lucky by choosing the right bulb on accident hahaha.

    lighting Questions

Come on now are we honestly arguing over these semantics? Why does everyone fight what is obvious? Daylight bulbs work best for veg, a commonly accepted fact. If you can show me one grow journal in which an LED panel outgrows an HPS of the same wattage, I will retract all of the negative...

    lighting Questions

Yeah, what about all those 4100k cool whites he buys for veg? Hope he keeps the receipt. The point is if this guy makes those kinds of glaring errors on information that basic, I just can't trust him. If I wanted advice on the subject of a closet grow I would ask someone who has done it...

Problem is that you should have light coverage of your whole plant, all the time (excluding dark time). The fact that only part of the plant is getting light at a time is really going to slow progress.

    lighting Questions

Do not buy any bulb that's 4700k, its a worthless color spectrum, stick with daylights for veg 6500k. Also, do not buy that LED UFO, I have only ever heard bad things, and they in no way even compare to a HPS. HPS will blow LED's out of the water every time, ask any knowledgeable grower and...

    Trainwreck under flouros

3 gallons should limit the growth a bit, 5 gallons less so. Maybe you'll be okay though, my old roomate kept his mothers plants on a 24hour life cycle for months, they were in 3 gallon pots and seemed to stop growing after about 5 feet. Hopefully yours stays right where its at, otherwise light...

    Is my light too close?

4 inches should be plenty of distance no matter what type of cfl, unless its 100w or higher. I say its because of the rockwool. Try setting the cubes in a tray filled with 1/2 inch of water, its called passive hydroponics. They should just wick up the moisture, and you shouldn't have to worry...

Well man I can't wait to see a picture of this thing indoors!!! I hope you have a LOT of room to work with, this may be the largest indoor plant ever, and only being lit with floro tubes oh man, I hope that room has a window for some supplemental light! One thought though, what size container...

    lighting Questions

Bottom line is there are better, more knowledgeable growers to get advice from on here, so why bother with a stranger. I'm not saying being a stranger makes him an idiot, we were all strangers to start. I am saying that it means he's far less credible. Would you take advice from this guy...

    lighting Questions

Read the post above. He was way off on the daylight, warm white thing for color spectrum's, something that could have hindered the person he was advising a great deal. Its daylight for veg, and warm white for flower, not cool white for veg, and definitely not daylight for flower. Especially...

    lighting Questions

Daylight floros are blue spectrum, not orange/red. You use daylight spectrum for vegetative growth and WARM white for flowering. Warm white are the red/orange spectrum. MH and HPS are both HID light systems, and are FAR more effective for indoor growing, but not because of their power...

I'll give you some better advice, don't listen to this guy. You'll notice to the right of your screen are his credentials when he posts. He is a stranger, the lowest wrung on the ladder, the post above is only his fourth post. Most of the info he gave you is wrong.
